DALLAS (AP) -- A Southwest Airlines flight from Houston to Dallas has been canceled after a passenger spotted a box cutter in the plane's overhead bin.
Southwest spokeswoman Olga Romero says a passenger on the scheduled 6:15 a.m. Monday flight from Houston's Hobby Airport found the box cutter and turned it over to the crew.

For crying out loud! Was there a Muslim on board? If not, quit the damn paranoia and fly the plane! They FOUND a box cutter and cancelled the flight!?

The plane is largely metal. Refined metal. I have no idea how they take off. Must be some sort of mind control...
This is pathetic. The box cutter gimmick only worked once, and only because the passengers fell for the “give them what they want and everything will be fine meme that had been accepted for decades. In a real fight (and especially as I get older), I would rather go up against someone focused on the box cutter in one hand than against a real fighter with no weapons.
Surprising that he wasn’t arrested.
They wanted to see if they could get a box cutter on board and somehow they did...but pray to got these idiots don’t try to hijack another jet! They will be sliced and diced all over the damn plane with their own box cutter!
Attack me on a plane (or anywhere else) with a box cutter, and we will see who ends up needing a band aid and who ends up needing a coffin.

There have been a number of dry runs and it hasn’t happened yet. The Muzzies will keep testing the system until they are satisfied that they can pull another hijacking.

No kidding,, thats a solid plan there Haji. Hijack a Houston to Dallas flight,, on the defacto national airline of Texas,,,,with a boxcutter.
Sounds to me like a way to subject yourself to a **good solid ass-kicking**.
It hasn’t happened yet,, because the “dry runs” have been praying loudly,, sitting separately,, saying little inflamatory things,, refusing to turn off the ipod, asking for seatbelt extension,,,etc.
See what happens when they cross the magic line. People have a good sense for knowing when “it’s on”. As annoying as dry runs are,, people know the difference. I suspect you would easily be able to tell when to let the flight crew deal with some muslim silliness,, and when it was time for you to stand up.
Exactly. They do a big show of Security Theatre on the passengers, but there are no background checks on ground staff. Makes you wonder if the guys from ‘Mohammed’s Airliner Cleaning Service’ are doing just a little bit more than clean-up...
So would the groping of nuns, old people and infants at the security checkpoints.
