Netanyahu at AIPAC: A nuclear Iran must be stopped

WASHINGTON – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the AIPAC conference in Washington Tuesday (GMT), following a meeting with US President Barack Obama.

"Jerusalem is the eternal united capital of Israel," he began his speech to roaring applause. "Israel must always reserve the right to defense itself."

"I want to ask the supporters of Israel here to stand up and applaud the Congress for standing up and supporting Israel. Democrats and Republicans alike, I salute your commitment to the State of Israel," he said.

Netanyahu was quick to focus on the nuclear threat posed by Iran: "Every day, I open a newspaper and read about deadlines and red lines, about what Israel might do and will do – but I won't talk about that. I will never talk about that. As the prime minister of Israel, I will not gamble with its security."

"I want to explain about the dangers of Iran, and why Iran should never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons," Netanyahu continued.

Absolutely!

If America had to have a foreigner as President, why couldn’t it be Bibi Netanyahu, instead of that Kenyan turd currently stinkin’ up the joint? :(

Is it too late to get him into the Republican primary?

There is absolutely no way Obama will risk his reelection by getting into another shooting war this time with a well armed opponent in the narrow confines of the Persian Gulf. In case Netanyahu failed to get that message, Obama will shortly withdraw most elements of the 5th fleet. Israel is on its own and simply does not have the punch to do the job. Leadership always matters. Obama values a second term much more than a nuclear defanged Iran.

It depends.

Israel could lift Iran and its bunkers off the planet. I always ask what would the opponent do? Here? Its very clear. Once the barbarians have a nuclear weapon, they WILL use it on Israel. They make NO bones about it. Then its Europe and America. Worst part is they already have their man in our office.

The Israel has to worry about Iranian allies, client states and proxies.

Israel has but one shot at this.

Obama has no choice but to back up Netanyahu.

The US is already moving assets out of the Pacific and over to the Middle East in anticipation of a conflict.

I watched his speech live on FNC and once again wished we had a President as committed to the US as he is to Israel.

The quote of his, above, is meaningful because he is only highlighting Congress... NOT Obama or his administration.

“As prime minister of Israel, I will never let my people live in the shadow of annihilation”

I got goose bumps when he said this. I believe you are right .... Bibi is the leader of the free western world.

Great speech. He left no doubt that Israel will attack Iran. The only question is the timing .... before the US elections for sure.

I cannot believe there are only 18 replies on this thread, it was the most important speech given this century, and is a prelude to one hell of a war that is coming. Most freepers are out of touch with what is really important, and this speech was the most important given this century, and probably will remain so.

Go Bibi !!! From a time when men we’re still men !!
