They wouldn’t have to treat it with ammonia to kill the pathogens. They could use irradiation to kill the pathogens, seal it and store it at room temperature for years with no loss in quality. No, it won’t make it radioactive and it won’t generate free radicals in any appreciable proportion. This has been done for years with chicken (dirty little secret) by some companies and it has been proven for all foods.
Sort of like the ground up bone on your chicken nuggets.
With regard to the pink slime, this is crap but it is also probably the testbed for what we will all be forced to buy and consume before long. Real food will only be available and affordable by the elite much as the food available in the private stores in the old Soviet Union.
