Gingrich must endorse Santorum
http://www.freerepublic.com ^ | 6 March 2012 | impimp

I have advocated Gingrich staying in until sometime in March. I felt the vote splitting would help prevent Romney from locking up a sufficient number of bound delegates to take the nomination. The plan did a good job so far, but not a great job.

I think now the mathematics is shifting such that Gingrich needs to bow out. The reasons for the shift are:

1. winner-take-alls coming up soon - vote splitting begins to really hurt us in these primaries 2. we need money consolidating behind Santorum. 3. Santorum made the Indiana ballot after all

But now Gingrich needs to bow out.

Santos is winning on the non Romney vote and with an open primary in Ohio, the leftists are still causing havoc. Rick is NOT building a conservative base. Even if Rick wins Ohio, he doesn’t get any delegates or a few.. Please..the stopping Romney has created a Huge problem for us getting rid of Obama. We NEED a change of course. We cannot go into the fall election with Romney nor Ricky. We have a Huge problem here, folks.

“Santorum cannot win against Obama. “

I love this argument. Newt can’t even win among Republicans, or even conservatives, yet somehow he is going to win the presidency when he is running 3rd place in the primaries.

It’s just funny. I know Newt won’t do what is right - politically, morally, or statistically. It’s just not him.

Rick couldn’t win PENNSYLVANIA against a Democrat. What’s changed?

No Santorum should endorse Gingrich and leave the race.
No wait Romney should leave the race and make us all happy.

I like Newt, but, like Rush, I live in Realville. No way will Gingrich beat obama. He is killing the conservative vote by staying in. Yes, I voted for Santorum. Some say he’s boring. I don’t care how boring he is, I want a conservative to win. They all have their warts, but, Gingrich has more than the others - unless, it’s Romney. Gingrich has only won 2 states so far, so would some one tell me how in the heck he is going to win this election, if he can’t even win the primaries?

We need to get out of lala land and look to beating obama. I think Rick can win - I really do. Gingrich had a couple of good debates, but, also a couple of bad ones. Very inconsistent, and we don’t know which Newt would show up to debate obama.

“Romney versus Romney lite? No thanks.
Santorum and Romney were partners last time around.
Just as Santorum and Specter were partners in 1996 when Specter ran on removing the pro-life movement from the Republican Party.”

I think Rush has a description for this sort of activity.

JOHN King will be the superior delegate counter. No FAUX for me. Megan Kelly makes me crazy. FOX is static. CNN is nuts and bolts on election evenings.

What do you mean he cannot win? He won the largest amount of delegates available tonight from one state! Obama would run all over Santo.

I don’t want a Santorum president and NO, I don’t like Romney either, I dislike them equally.

I will vote against Obama in Nov but I won’t be voting for Santorum or Romney.

My state doesn’t vote until May 29th and I would like a chance to vote for the candidate of my choice.

I really give two chits what the Santorum, Paul or Romney folk want. I don’t support those candidates and I won’t.

Go Gingrich!

Oh and 2.50 a gallon gas is possible.

“the leftists are still causing havoc.”

Oh, so Newt is blaming his 15% showing on democrats, not republicans. Let’s see that would mean that democrats would be voting better than 4-1 in a republican primary, assuming 100% of actual republicans are voting for Newt, which if you are a Newt supporter, is part of the pathology.
