not if they continue to be as blind to and feckless with the Alinsky tactics as they’ve been in this whole Sandra Fluke deal
I sincerely hope not. The Republican Party has proven that they are NOT the conservative stewards of the government and are as bad or worse than the left. I would far rather that 2012 be a Tea Paty Year.
However, barring that, our government needs a major overhaul and reset that takes us BACK to the original Constitution written and presented by the Founding Fathers. There are a few minor tweaks needed that eliminate the present situation, but those aren't the major issues; we need to get back to the government our Founders created, NOTv the government that the 'Pubbies and Dems have given us today.

RE: I sincerely hope not
Well if your hope becomes reality, guess whose year 2012 will be?
Joe is the reason Obama’s handlers are so careful to stack the crowds, pre-screen the questions, and manage anyone that might embarrass the donkey butt in chief.
I need a cup of coffee. I posted to the wrong thread. sorry.
I’d like to say that the republican party of Romney can go straight to hell, but alas, they have beat me to the punch.
Yes. The defeat of Obama, even by an undesirable nominee like Romney, will be important. I believe there are very bad ramifications if Obama is kept in power. He is working overtime to destroy prosperity and liberty.
Class warfare, racism, and unfettered power grabs by the federal government will grow unchecked in an Obama second term. Romney, if the nominee, has faults...but blatant class warfare and racist behavior isn’t among them. His tendency toward big government solutions can be circumvented by a Republican congress.
Primaries are the only way to change representatives.

As things stand now, I think it’ll be a mixed bag at best. The GOP will likely hold onto the House and has a 50/50 chance of winning the Senate.
In WI, Walker will probably survive (barely) the recall attempt, but by the law of averages, at least one of the GOP senators there will fall. With the Voter ID law hamstrung by a pro-recall judge, the door is open for widespread fraud, so it’ll be up to patriotic citizens to monitor the polling locations.
I’m not confident at all about the Presidential race.
No worries... your comment still has a general application pretty much anywhere.
Last month I happened to get into a conversation with a pollster who let slip that her polling company had recently completed a poll on “race relation” and had been told by whoever paid for this poll not to release the results because of what it showed.
But, we don't. Evwery 2 years we re-elect the same 535 people to the Congress and wonder why things keep deteriorating.
We don't grasp the fact that the 535 people we keep sending the Congress who CREATED the problems have NO CLUE how to FIX the problems.
BTW, primaries are NOT the only way to change representatives.
Does it really matter?? Right now, our choice is shaping up to be Obama and Obama'lite. There is no "None of the Above"!
RE: Does it really matter??
ABSOLUTELY.
I am CERTAIN that Obama will be appointing liberal judges like Ginsberg who will continue to wreck havoc on our system long after he is gone.
I am quite certain that a Santorum or Gingrich will appoint someone like Thomas or Scalia (because they said so ).
Romney did say he would follow GW Bush’s lead in appointing judges and justices.
See here:

G W Bush, for all his faults, gave us Alito and Roberts. Good men both.
Bush also appointed great jurists like Miguel Estrada and Janice Rogers Brown ( not always successful in his appointments, but still, you know his inclination ).
ON THIS ISSUE ALONE, THERE IS A GREAT GAP BETWEEN A FLAWED GOP PRESIDENT AND OBAMA.
And Let’s forget to mention EVERY SINGLE CANDIDATE’s PROMISE ( which I believe they intend to fulfill ) to help REPEAL Obamacare.
I’ll take Obama-lite to Obama anytime if the choice boils down to this.
Romney is a liar.
RE: Romney is a liar.
Guess what, if you inspect their records, ALL OF THEM HAVE BEEN CAUGHT LYING IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.
If you’re looking for someone who NEVER lies, I’m not sure if you can find such a person anywhere on earth.
Romney lies whenever he opens his mouth. I won’t vote for him.
