A new poll has been released Thursday showing how Alabamians may vote in next week's GOP Primary.

The Capital Survey Research Center did a survey of 592 likely voters in Alabama from march 5-7, 2012.

Among the results, 29.9% of voters would pick Mitt Romney, 24.7% of voters pick Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum gets 20.1%, and Ron Paul has 5.6% of those polled, with 19.8% of those polled don't know or had no reply.

Great. Another state that Santorum is going to cost Gingrich and hand to Romney.

I think Newt is going to win Alabama easily by election day.

Another? Oh brother. You make me laugh with your BS. Not one state did Newt lose because of Santorum......I can’t wait to hear your proof. Now if you want to talk about states Newt ripped off Santorum.....I am available.

Time for conservatives to DECIDE. Vote either or, and don’t split the vote.

Don’t hand it to Mitt!!

I’m a Newt supporter, but I can believe he might be trailing Santorum in Alabama by a few points, and he did in Tennessee. But there’s no effing way either Santorum or Gingrich is trailing Romney in ‘bama.

Not happening. I question the methodology.

Good news, Newt is on the rise compared to the prior poll. Go Newt!

Here we go again. Anti-Romney: 50.4 percent. Romney: 29.9 percent. But, Romney wins because we split the Conservative vote. JUST DAMN!!!

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised on 13th when Newt easily takes Alabama.

There’s a meme going around in the press and with others in the anti-Gingrich crowd to fool the people that Gingrich has no chance in winning Alabama or any other state.

Save your breath. Conservatives are hard-headed. I’m a Newt guy, but, I’d be willing for him to drop out and support Rick. Or, vice versa. But, most people on here would rather bite their nose off to spite their face than budge an inch. Short of a miracle, it will be the Moderate Mormon versus the Marxist Muslim in the Fall. JUST DAMN!!!

I’m voting for Newton Leroy Gingrich.

I don’t think anything short of a natural disaster can save our culture, but I’d like to watch Newt try.

Santorum would “manage the decline”. Romney is a fascist whether he knows it or not — he’s a marionette for the finance market criminals. Paul, poor Paul. He’s the kid that saves up his lunch money every week, only to have it stolen every Friday. And of course there is Obama, who knowingly works for the destruction of Western Civilization.

OK I did a minute or 2 of Googling, and the trend is in Newt’s direction. Look at this:

http://argojournal.blogspot.com/2012/03/poll-watch-capital-survey-research.html

It shows the figures of the poll just released, next to a last ‘bama poll of about a week ago. Both Santorum & Romney are static (or down a tad), but Newt is rising.
