Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer sent an apology letter to a lesbian and gay advocacy group on campus for his plans to use lavender football jerseys as a form of punishment to players in practice according to 10TV.com and the OSU campus newspaper, The Lantern.
The lavender jersey would be given to a player caught "loafing" - or a moment of deceleration - for the second time during a conditioning drill. The concept was created by Ohio State strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti. The school will now use a different color.

Why not a velcro patch with a picture of a loaf of bread on it, for the loafers. Why waste money on complete new jerseys.
Does lavender represent the LGBT community? If so, maybe the Meyer should make the lazy players wear rainbows instead.

The teams at the Univesity of Hawaii are called the Rainbows.
I’ve been waiting for liberals to condemn that nickname, the way they condemn American Indian nicknames. Certainly it’s bigoted to name a team the Rainbows, when the homosexual community has adopted the rainbow flag as their symbol.
They were, then they became the "Rainbow Warriors", now I think they just go by "Warriors."

Great coach, but he lies a lot.
My biggest pet peeve is the use of the word “community”. It is nothing more than tribalism and I think it is a result of all the balkanizing effects of special treatment for interest groups by legislators. The people who ride motorcycles without helmets community, the doesn’t like the color purple community, the lesbian trapped in a gay man’s body community and etc.
But if they go by the name “Warriors”, won’t that get them in trouble with the liberals upset about Indian themed nicknames?????
