As Newt remains, the conservative voice continues to be heard! He may be able to chase Mittens far enough to the right to be left-center!

Are you ready for the tirade from Santorum people that Newt has been paid by Romney to stay in, otherwise he would leave and Rick would win in a landslide?

Are you ready for that??

Wish you were right, but a non-stop campaign to impugn Newt’s character and the motives behind his staying in the race is about to begin. I agree with you about Newt’s superiority in both his platform and message, as well as his ability to compellingly present them. He has single-handedly decreased Obama’s poll numbers via his $2.50/gallon energy plan, and put Obama on the defensive. Has either Romney or Santorum been able to do that?

According to some fast sloppy math on my part, there are approx. 1200 delegates left to be had. Mitt needs at least half (50%)to get over the 1144 point. Newt staying in will hopefully insure that does not happen. I LOVE Newt!

Newt isn’t going to win anything. The majority of voters don’t like him.

No way you could convince anyone at a convention that a guy who only was able to eke out a win in two southern states should get the nod.

Newt will mop the floor with Obama in any debate, that alone gets my vote. I don’t care if he wins or loses, just to have him show the world that the smartest man in America is really nothing more than a 3 Card Monty sharpie. The 80% with less than a high school education will still support Obama either way.

I am not sure why Newt lost in AL and MI but certainly voters must have heard his ads there. So it is a concern for me. But it may be as simple as voters there preferred the bible centered family orientation of Santorum rather than the Churchillian roar of Gingrich against the establishment. All I can say is thank God Romney didn’t win; he is a real snake and his Mormon religious backers are beginning to look like a Scientology cult to me.

A brokered convention will give Newt a shot at showing he stands out from the others in knowledge, speech, vision and command presence.

Anyone looking at what happened yesterday should see that Newt lost in two of the ‘Reddest’ in the south and the Political/Social brethren of Georgia. If he can’t win there then where can he win?
