The reason our Constitution includes the check of Senate consent is quite simple.

King George III appointed henchmen accountable only to him to oppress his subjects across the Atlantic.

There is hardly a clause in our Constitution that did not improve upon, or correct a defect in the Articles of Confederation or the British Constituiton.

Most Americans today think the advise and consent clause is just another 18th Century artifact from our stupid, slave owning, white a$$hole Framers.
