SEATTLE (AP) — The U.S. soldier accused of slaughtering 16 Afghan villagers last weekend saw his friend's leg blown off the day before the rampage, his lawyer said Thursday.

Seattle attorney John Henry Browne told The Associated Press that according to his client's family, the suspect was standing next to another U.S. soldier when that soldier was gravely injured.

Ever hear of WAR?

The war ended six months after it started. This is an ill conceived and futile attempt at nation building in our own image, and we are now using our soldiers as policemen for an ungrateful people.

We can all thank President Obama for this shameless display. This picture should be a campaign issue.

So anyone with injuries gets the pass to go get drunk and shoot up two towns and kill a bunch of people who were not combatants?

Sorry, that is firing squad time. He should have had the rampage in front of the soldiers, not the innocents. He was also mindful of what he did trying to sneak back into his camp.

Even in our greatest generation of WW2 we had 50 plus rapes by Americans during our occupation and they to had to suffer the due consequences.
This one though enraged the Islamic world which is a bunch of rabid moon god worshiping bunch of fruit cakes.

It’s too bad for the families of all he killed, our military and for his own family.

No, it’s not a pass to commit mayhem, but it is a defense of mental incompetence. This man should not have been in the theater of war. He had already suffered too much and his mental competence should have been questioned. If this man is guilty, his superiors who sent him there, should be considered more guilty, including Obama.
