"Former New York mayor Ed Koch backs President Obama"

"Former Mayor Ed Koch is back on President Obama’s side and will be by his side during a fancy White House bash Wednesday with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

Koch said he scored an invite to the swanky soiree in honor of Cameron and his wife, Samantha.

Koch, a Democrat, raised eyebrows and ire last year when he backed Republican Bob Turner over Democrat David Weprin in the special election to replace disgraced ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner in a Queens-Brooklyn district.

Koch said the cross-party endorsement was to send a message to Obama to be a better friend to Israel — and to not to take Jewish support for granted.

“Apparently, President Obama got the message and I am back on the reelection bus . . . and he invited me to attend tomorrow night’s state dinner for Cameron,” he said.

In September, Koch formally reendorsed Obama, saying the President’s United Nations’ speech against the Palestinian push for statehood had repaired the breach.

A White House spokesman could not confirm the invite."

He doesn’t hate Jews or America. I don’t believe that claim. He just can’t follow his very own logic to its clear conclusion. He’s tethered to the Democratic Party and retreats back home every time he dares venture outside those walls.

I pointed out in my post # 27 that Koch is senile

"Senile" is a bit strong. I don't recall exactly when now, but I'm sure I have heard Koch on the radio (probably with Mark Simone) within the past three months; and he didn't sound any different to me than he did 30 years ago. Was he "senile" when he backed the Republican in the not-so-distant-past, post-Weiner by-election?

Very well put, so typical for too many Jews of his generation, Jews who are smart enough to know better. The 'Rat party is their addiction that they find impossible to break.
