Obama: Gas prices 'make things harder' By: Jennifer Epstein March 17, 2012 07:02 AM EDT

With the price of gas averaging $3.83 per gallon for regular – 30 cents more than a month ago – President Barack Obama said he feels Americans’ pain at the pump but his administration is limited in its ability to lower gas prices.

“What matters most to me right now is the impact that rising prices have on you,” he said in his weekly address broadcast Saturday. “When you’ve got to spend more on gas, you’ve got less to spend on everything else. It makes things harder.”

Obama has repeatedly said there is no “silver bullet” to stop prices from rising and that the issue is largely beyond his administration’s control. “The truth is: the price of gas depends on a lot of factors that are often beyond our control. Unrest in the Middle East can tighten global oil supply. Growing nations like China or India adding cars to the road increases demand,” he said.

“It’s easy to promise a quick fix when it comes to gas prices. There just isn’t one,” he said. “Anyone who tells you otherwise — any career politician who promises some three-point plan for two-dollar gas — they’re not looking for a solution. They’re just looking for your vote.”

Lying two faced sack of crap.

June 18, 2009 6:22 PM PRINT TEXT Obama Blames High Gas Prices On Washington Democrat Barack Obama on Friday blamed high gasoline prices on Washington and a political establishment that he says hasn’t stood up to oil companies, his two rivals for the presidency included.

The GOP has SO MUCH AMMO LIKE THIS to advertise that Obama is the hypocritical Satan and if they don't compile it ALL and use it, I'll be convinced that we are being duped by the Republican party. Everyone needs to pay close attention to how hard the GOP is willing to attack Obama. Look at what their darling, McCain, did last time - NOTHING!!! It was only Sarah that attacked him and look what has happened to her!

I bet his EPA and DOE are gearing up to fight that new refinery to be built near Pittsburgh. This could be a huge election issue when coupled with Keystone, the moritorium on drilling, and denial of operating permits for the coal industry. Energy supplies are the biggest loser for the biggest loser.

In some future debate, when Barak declares that we can’t drill our way out to lower prices (or whatever), I want the Republican candidate to look directky at him and say, “Of all the stupid things you have said, THAT is probably the stupidest!”

“When you’ve got to spend more on gas, you’ve got less to spend on everything else. It makes things harder.”

We're not only spending more on gas, we are spending more on everything else. We notice gas prices because we see them posted on the street in big bold letters. But everything inside the stores has gone up at least 10% in the last year alone.

And the sheeple will all vote to re-elect this clown.

No $h!t Sherlock ! IMHO, zero is doing it on purpose. High gas prices contribute towards a higher inflation ragte - reinstating punishment that Jimmy Carter promised the American people if he didn’t get voted out of office. Makes it harder to travel nd forces us to be more dependent on public transportation except public transportation is non-existent here !

> Obama: Gas prices ‘make things harder’

> First, thank you Captain Obvious.

> Second, he’ll never touch a pump again in his life. I doubt he cares.

Wasn't it just three years ago that Zero said it was Bush's fault?

This a-hole is having trouble keeping his lies straight.

“Democrat Barack Obama on Friday blamed high gasoline prices on Washington”

Holy Moly! At last he is being honest. Only Washington makes American monetary policy, Only Washington prints money. Only Washington spent this nation into 16 trillion dollars($16,000,000,000,000.00) of debt. Of course Lil Barry is the CEO of that mess we call a government, so he and the rest of that bunch of traitors have to blame someone else. The other party, Big Oil, OPEC, whoever, anyone but themselves.

Basically this reporterette transcribes his speech. There is no sense of criticism or research showing his past statements.

If this were Bush...

Despite claims, Democrats suggests.... Bush himself in the past has.... Republicans admit this... Some say... Voters are rightfully aiming their anger... Etc.
