President Obama on Friday thanked his "good friend" Oprah Winfrey for being an early endorser who got Americans to support him, just as they buy the books and skin cream she recommends.
At a fundraiser at the Atlanta home of movie and TV mogul Tyler Perry -- a close friend of Winfrey's -- called out the former talk show host, who was in the audience, by name.
"And then, there is my good friend, Oprah, who very early on, when I was still running, just decided that she would support this guy with a name that nobody could pronounce. And just like books and skin cream, when Oprah decides she likes you, then other people like you, too," he said to laughter.

A lot has changed since then. Now most everybody can pronounce a$$hole. The only question is whether it is one word, two words, or hyphenated.
Obama was probably hoping to get another endorsement for this election. Oprah lost significant audience as a result of her endorsement of Obama last time and I’ve read she is reluctant to do that again with the OWN channel already on life support.

Oprah can’t help herself. She just canned Rosie O’Donnell, another Obamabot moron who was helping to take Oprah’s TV network “OWN” down with no viewers. Actually “OWN” is having its own viewer problems. Oprah, has had her fifteen minutes of fame. Between advancing old age and cuddling up to POTUS failure Obama, Ms. Winfrey has lost multitudes of female viewers!!! The Obama thing was a dumb business move by Oprah from the gitgo!!!
And....Clooney, Hanks, Streep, have seen their best days. All of them have not a film that did magnificent cashwise at the box office. The “Oscar” winning Ms. Streep had a box office failure in the USA with the “Iron Lady”!!! In fact, Ms Streep’s best payday was from “Momma Mia” an entertaining flick, far from her liberal adoration of failed POTUS Obama!!! LOL!!!

The “fifteen minutes of fame” descriptive hardly applies to Oprah,like her or not.
In 2006 shortly after hussein was elected Senator he was on Oprah. I had the misfortune to be stuck in a waiting room that day and had to endure watching it. It was absolutely disgusting to watch her hump his leg like some junkyard dog.
It was as close to puking in public as I have ever been.
So, it was the end of her success. So?
When 0prah refused to have Sarah Palin on her show during the campaing, a show that claims to celebrate successful women, and then turned around and had Barry on, women left in droves. It was the beginning of the ends for her. Her numbers soared for only one day since the slide, when she had Sarah as a guest after the election. Then, in the toilet again.
Has he done something in three years that she sees as being worthy of reelection? Did she mention what in his plan for America draws her enthusiasm?
Oprah would have endorsed Rodney King if he had run for President.
She endorsed Obama because he was black, the same way Colon Powell did.
They would have endorsed any black who was running as long as they were not Conservative Uncle Toms.

She is some how always had ties with the mob as far as I can see, although I have no proof. But I have always found her “success” rather strange.

You are right. I lost complete respect for both of them when they fell at the feet of the Marxist Obama. Powell was such an complete disappointment. He sacrificed his honor, integrity and hard won career with his racist pandering. He is now nothing but a worthless piece of crap, in my opinion.
IMO his whole life was a facade.
He was a Steppenfetchit to get his rank and his position and finally his true colors showed.
You are correct, Ms. Winfrey has had a long, successful run, but she has undone so much of her hard work with the bad business judgement back in 2008 backing Obama!!! She could have backed him, funded him, but she should have stayed on the sidelines, rather then her public display of adoration for a man of quite dubious background and associations.
She willingly chose the public activist path, and....as such will be a notable tiny footprint in the history books, when she should have been a giant of significant achievement!!! Surely not the sharpest knife in the drawer!!! I had a great boss, who used to preach to me before I took his President position in our company when he retired.
He said, “son, if you are born dumb and know it, you will go through life with no problem, but.....if you are born dumb and believe you are smart, you are doomed to failure”!!! Good advice then, now.... and in the future. Ms. Winfrey has outsmarted herself by her foolish actions, that were clearly not thought out in advance. The entertainment news industry is now full of verbage stating exactly what I have outlined here. Ms. Winfrey may roll along for a short while, but the Winfrey train has run out of steam!!!

Didn’t Colon Powell have a big role in stopping us from removing Hussein in the first part of the gulf war? Had we take Saddam out at that time, it would have saved a lot of American and Iraqi lives.
Saddam had many years to prepare for an insurgency for the second half of the war.
If Colon was critical in stopping General Schwarzkopf, then he has the blood of many on his hands.
