If Christians went around anointing public restrooms with oil, maybe atheists would come along and clean them up? Sounds like a good plan to me.

I read where most evil doers enter the county via the airport. I hope they haven’t run out of oil.

Don't blame the atheists for that one. It's almost word for words what those who anointed the road believe.

A strip of anointed oil has been placed over all lanes of highway at the county line and prayer has been has been given at each location asking God to have his angels inspect every vehicle in or out of this county and to bring under conviction those who seek evil and we asked God to bring them to a state of submission and repentance. If they will not submit to God's ways then the prayer is to have them incarcerated.--Pastor Frank Smith

The results were immediate. There have been a number of arrests for drugs and drug manufacturing in Polk County since this project began.--Pastor Frank Smith.

“Atheists biggest frustration has always been and will always remain that they cannot convince anyone to join them and they are so very angry about it.”

You certainly nailed it! The only explanation that makes sense.

"Ellen Beth Wachs, the president of Humanists of Florida Association and Atheists of Florida, said that she feels unwelcome as an atheist in the county.

Proof that the anointing is working...

I haven’t been through that stretch of Polk County in two years.

I’m sorry but I cannot get past the stupidity.

What good would this ‘anointing’ do?

Absolutely none.

I live about 35 miles from the Gettysburg battlefield and we had some wingnuts “anointing” the various monuments a few years ago. The NPS hit them with very heavy fines.

Yep, that’s for real. In this case the atheists might be nutty, but no nuttier than Polk Under Prayer group.

“This anointment ritual was to call out the angels to check each car that entered the county, to make sure they were Christian, and if they weren’t Christian, they would either follow Christian beliefs or get put in jail,” Wachs told ABC News.

What a stupid statement. Christians certainly would ask for salvation for those who aren't saved but the jail part was likely an ignorant statement made up by the anti God so called atheists to put the Christians in a bad light.

Living in their heads rent-free.

I'm thinking this is a bizarre form of psychological pacing or leading: so we should escalate to see how far they'll go, and then turn around and laugh at them for participating in superstitions that they don't even believe in!

Cheers!

They make your average c*ristian look bad.

Atheists are going to lump these nuts in with the ‘normal’ c*ristians. It doesn’t help their cause.

At least they don’t do this in my grandparents’ church. (They are Lutheran).

Darn, ya beat me to it.

I was gonna propose a plan to clean up the filth, nationwide, for free, and keep the Atheists busy as well.

Atheists biggest frustration has always been and will always remain that they cannot convince anyone to join them and they are so very angry about it.

On an earlier thread about S.E. Cupp, there was a link to an atheist site discussing her.

The money quote from that site? It's here:

Where S.E Cupp really pisses me off (besides all the other ways she really pisses me off) is that she is the one good looking woman I have ever come across who claims to be an atheist. Why does that piss me off? Simple: the one female “atheist” who is actually good looking is nothing more than a theist in atheist’s clothing. Bah!

(Cat exits bag at high speed.)

Cheers!

Also a prayer that all non-Christians would get in trouble with the gummit — that’s rather short sighted and petty if not altogether phony. They and these atheists probably deserve each other.

Biblically true Christians might pray salvation prayers, but we don’t know if these are such, or just kooks that are no more Christian than the Westburros are.
