Moving her costs money and is not a trivial undertaking. Publishing such details is a danger to her security. She’s a child and doesn’t deserve to have the press reporting her every move.

That’s a lot easier said than done if no alternative locale had been prepared for that sizable party.
Also, if the SS were to move the Obama party to another location, it leaves in place at the original hotel all its other guests and hotel staff, who could become inadvertent victims if there were an attack intended for the daughter of the POTUS. Those guests/staff would have NO SS protection.
There was no need for that kind of detail in the story. Nice way to put a lot of people at risk unnecessarily.
