Zimmerman was on the ground being punched when he shot Trayvon Martin(FL)
Charleston Conservative Examiner ^ | 21 March, 2012 | Kyle Rogers

Posted on 03/22/2012 4:55:30 AM PDT by marktwain

Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.

So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?

Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6'2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.

The difference is whites allow the Justice system to work.

Blacks invite Al Sharpton and the rest of the race pimps in to stir the pot and create more chaos.

You were there? That's good to know that they have another witness. Glad we got this all cleared up. I apologize for all of my freeper cohorts trying to force you to look at the facts when you already knew the truth all along. How dare them try to confuse you with the facts.

If these people ever gained power, it would be wall-to-wall Stalinesque show trials, and summary executions.

That’s because homicide is a noun, not a verb. You can kill something, but you can’t homicide something. Darn those pesky semantics. I pray that you are never in front of a jury of your peers that don’t know the difference.

sarcasm applied and yes it was an exaggerated statement. Reminded me of the old story of the car that a little old lady only drove to church on Sundays. He never heard that Zimmerman may have been attacked or had any injuries. Only that Zimmerman had followed him, started a fight, and then killed him. Amazed me that he assumed that he had all of the facts when the reality was that most of the facts had been left out. Looks like the Media is out to start a race riot and has quite a few people presuming his guilt and ready to build the gallows.

Thanks for your prayers and an English lesson. Can you show me more nouns? The courts don't define reality outside of the legal system. If anything, they are a burden on the reality, and the understanding of it by people like yourself, enamored by, seduced and deceived by the legal lingo which has infected the way people communicate these days.

Last year on a grand jury in my county I remember us being warned by the DA to avoid this disease when discussing the case among ourselves. It was for nothing, this warning. Everyone is a legal expert, who knows the difference between a murder and a fourth degree involuntary vehicular homicide. Contemptible social phenomena.

did he have to kill the attacker (assuming that Martin attacked him)? Was Zimmerman's life in danger?

People are killed all the time from blows to the head. If ya jump on a cop, and start beating him, chances are excellent, you'll get shot. Many other non-cop citizens have also shot attackers, while being attacked. This has happened thousands of times.

In addition, is it not possible Martin attempted to disarm Zimmerman or that Zimmerman perceived/feared this would happen?

Suppose some stranger came up to you and started asking you questions? What would you do? Give the stranger your drivers license? How would a “normal person” respond?

As it is told, even by Trayvon’s girlfriend— it was Trayvon that initiated the discussion. She had told Trayvon to run, he didn’t.

If it were me, I would have walked faster towards my home, ran even. I would have gotten inside my home, let my parents and the police sort it out.

If I didn’t feel like I could make it home before the guy following would catch up... I would have started yelling for help or even called my dad from my cell phone.

I would not have confronted someone I thought following me. I would also bet a nickle that Trayvon landed the first blow.

CCW is not a license to keep tabs on the neighborhood and question anything you don’t like.

No, but having a neighborhood watch is ALL about surveillance. And criminals occasionally kill neighborhood-watch patrollers. That's why police tell the patrollers to hang back and not confront. But the prowlers often do confront the patrollers, esp. if they look elderly or "soft", and the police are still, "when seconds count, minutes away".

That’s what cell phones and 911 are for.

That's what Zimmermann did. Right up to the point where the thug jumped him and began rigorously beating his ass. So what part of "you must take a life-threatening beating by a powerfully-built athlete" did you find in neighborhood-watch manuals?

He used his cell phone correctly. He notified timely. The police were slow reacting. He got beaten, and he used his sidearm appropriately, to defend himself against a Junior OJ.

End of story. Unless you're Al Sharpton and Barack Obama.

No, but having a neighborhood watch is ALL about surveillance.

And then you try to justify that it is at least sometimes about killing??

BTW, I never said ONE, not ONE single racial references in my post. It is YOU who raised the racial references.

There ya go.

It is in a report from Norton N. Bonaparte, Jr., the City Manager who recently suspended the Sheriff. On March 19, 2012. Here is the link: http://www.sanfordfl.gov/investigation/docs/Zimmerman_Martin_shooting.pdf

Statement in the report: “If Zimmerman was told not to continue to follow Trayvon, can that be considered in this
investigation?
Yes it will; however, the telecommunications call taker asked Zimmerman “are you following him”. Zimmerman replied, “yes”. The call taker stated “you don’t need to do that”. The call taker’s suggestion is not a lawful order that Mr. Zimmerman would be required to follow. Zimmerman’s statement was that he had lost sight of Trayvon and was returning to his truck to meet the police officer when he says he was attacked by Trayvon.

BTW Bonaparte is not white nor a white Hispanic

...but if he was on the ground being beaten then...

That was my whole point. Nothing bad would have happened had he NOT exited his vehicle and confronted Treyvon.

When classed on CWP, you are instructed to not to "Get your Cop on" and try to intervene inappropriately. You lack the authority and anyone that you confront (accost) might not appreciate or respect your acting out of your self appointed capacity.

Looking at the immediate situation, Zimmerman was likely in the right. Looking at the entire incident, prior to the 911 call where he was instructed not to follow the suspect, he was CLEARLY in the wrong.

Yes. he is Hispanic to say the least. ....

Ask yourself: Why is the media portraying it as if he was 8?

The only reports I've heard were the kid was shot by a white male. Now they are saying a white "Hispanic" male, so it still has a racial tint. Where is the outrage about the black kids setting the white boy on fire???????????? Crickets.

Was he asked for anything other then what was he doing there? I see you accept the premise that in any instance that a “white” man conflicts with a black man it is the “white” man that is at fault. Sick and tired of the victim card, racist card played every time something happens. The problem does not exist in the white community it resides in the black community. It is their act that needs to be straightened out not ours.

I am sorry the young man was shot, but he's being made out to be 5'1 and a nice young boy.....but reports say he was well over 6' and out of school because of a suspension...

is the media going to really allow a lynching of an innocent person?....are none of them going to stand up and report the true facts?....

but this is all a larger issue......the don't want the peasants to have guns..
