Everything we make up in this story, and everything, save the 911 calls and the police report, is made up, folks, if not by us than by the wannabe cop, everything then says more about us and our prejudices and wannabes than it says about the case.

And looking at the wannabe cop’s mug if he were in my neighbourhood carrying himself as he apparently did in Sanford, or if I were visiting that neighbourhood and saw him, I’d be inclined to consider him a suspicious character. (That’s full disclosure for ya!)

So his photo convicts him of being a murderer?

I think wannabe cop is the best description of Zimmerman.

I don’t believe that Zimmerman hunted this kid down and murdered him, and it is certainly possible that the kid attacked him. But when he called the police, Zimmerman was told to back off and let them do it. He was obviously not under any threat at that time and the police were on their way.

One of my kids is on the police force in a large Western city, and these “buffs” (wannabe cops who can’t pass the physical or psychological exams to get onto the force and often work as security guards or neighborhood watch people) are always lurking in the background.

I would think this could be manslaughter since I doubt that Zimmerman intended to kill the teenager. But there should be some charges.
