The cancer of Obamacare now extends to choosing a Public health expert for the World Bank Presidency.
_______
The major problem with THE NINE SUPREMES is that they are chosen for political reasons by the POTUS, and then they vote as an un-accountable democracy, for a Nation that is NOT a Democracy, but a REPUBLIC.
As a result, THE NINE SUPREMES commonly vote 5 to 4 on most issues. Constitutionality is seldom a consideration, and their up-coming ruling on Obamacare will prove my point.
Now is the time to stand and deliver to address our grievances to the dictates of the Left.
Oppose the dictates of Dictator Baby-Doc Barack!
Our ONLY chance to ABOLISH Obamacare rests with THE NINE SUPREMES, because Romney will be defeated by Obama.
IMHO, if Romney is anointed as the RNC Nominee, THE main issue in the National Election, Obamacare, will be taken off the campaign table. Hence, Romney will not only lose, but suffer another crushing, and sadly typical, RINO defeat.
To those who want poster ideas, here are a few ideas for demonstration posters:
Obamacare was robo-signed by Congress, and is therefore illegal.
Obamacare was 2700 pages long, and is still being written, but not by Congress: witness the forced contraception coverage recently added by HHS Regulators.
Obamacare has caused The Catholic Spring.
Obamacare reduces competition, and therefore is illegal by the 1890 Sherman Anti-Trust Law.
Obamacare is designed to be a US Federal Government monopoly, with no competition.
Obamacare also is illegal according to the US Constitution, because it violates our freedom of choice.
Will THE NINE SUPREMES notice any of these three violations? I seriously doubt it.
Impeached Bill Clinton proved that the US President is above US Federal Law, so anything that the President wants he gets, regardless of the Federal Laws that he has violated.
He’s not going to need 60 R votes. He’ll get crossovers. There’s enough poll data and charred democrat incumbant bodies from 2010 that there will be crossovers.
McConnell is an idiot. He knows ALL about 51-vote reconciliation that passed the trash in the first place. Use it!
Right. I'll believe it when I see it that the genteel Republicans get down and dirty with the Democrats.
Now we have people on our side calling for Marco Rubio to be a veep???
We are in desperate need of conservative senators, not irrelevant vice presidents, and this is a good example of why. The higher the percentage of conservatives we have in the senate, the more difficult it will be for a so-called moderate RINO to block the repeal of something like Obamacare.
Senate Minority Leader Tippy Turtle
It may be tough to repeal the law but in the meantime Congress can refuse to fund it through funding measures which require less votes. Moreover, if Mitt (or any other Republican) wins the White House, can’t the President issue an executive order preventing the agencies from implementing and enforcing the law? Hopefully, the Supreme Court will strike down ObamaCare as unconstitutional before the election. If the court upholds ObamaCare then it’s clear this country’s founding documents have no more meaning in guiding our public institutions.
There is plenty to be upset with McConnell, but his point here is to gin up support for more than 51 Pubbies in the Senate.
To state that he needs 60 is to garner more energy to replace as many Dumbocrats as possible.
Repeal it you old tortoise head. If you ain’t up to the task you need to step down and give the job to someone who can get it done.
Well, that sure was a quick battle!
Congratulation on your win dimocrats!
GOP, when you see them, say hi to the Whigs for me, 'mkay?
Well, a president shouldn't be able to do that. The law is the law. But Obama has set the precedent by ordering agencies not to enforce DOMA or defend it in court. So a president Romney would have ample precedent to do just that, if he was the testicular fortitude...which is a huge if...
Put the pipe down McConnell, it’s easy to repeal. Stop funding it and as a matter of fact, they could do that right now.
Especially hard when the RINOs don’t really want to repeal it...
McConnell trying to lower expectations of Congress that only has what, 8% approval now?
“McConnell is an idiot. He knows ALL about 51-vote reconciliation that passed the trash in the first place. Use it! “
This worthless dick! Here he is announcing defeat even before he tries. I just hope, but not holding my breath, that the Senate will pick someone else to be their “leader.” Mr. No-chin McConnell is an embarrassment t us all!~
But, even if we win the Senate, will we have enough votes to override a veto, which Nobama will surely do.
“But, even if we win the Senate, will we have enough votes to override a veto, which Nobama will surely do.”
So are you throwing in the towel on the Presidential Election already? Or are you simply saying that Romney would also veto any repeal?
No, I’m not—not consciously. Maybe that was a subconscious observation—a Freudian slip so-to-speak.
Mconnell certainly believes in the “Power of Negative Thinking’
Just what we need — GOP “leaders” with a defeatist attitude.
