Only way to make that work is to cut taxes like crazy, across the board. But that’s not the EU’s way. Looks like they’re looking to create a serf class instead . . .
I don’t think so, at least in the case of the Spanish labor reform.
What has been done in Spain is reducing the power of the unions when arranging or ending a working contract, and reducing also the cases in which a judge has to authorize the ending of such contracts.
Unions in Spain were granted under Franco rule with a myriad of privileges, which they kept during the Democracy, and in fact they worked for themselves, interfering the relationship between the employer and the worker in their own interests.
Next Thursday’s general strike will be a test on how much support still have the main unions in Spain.
