I can't help but contrast it with Rick Perry's GENUINE love of guns. He did his shooting on his off time, not to pander for votes. Santorum's effort just doesn't come across as the real thing.

Right, it's no coincidence that Santuckabee is seen at these little displays during certain key elections. Especially were the population is heavily NRA or Pheasant Hunting oriented.
The same thing backfired on Kerry in 2004. The obvious is all to prevalent.
