A group identifying itself as the New Black Panther Party is offering $10,000 to anyone who makes a citizen's arrest of George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin slaying.

Dumb asses. In the majority of the states, in order to make a citizen’s arrest, you have to have personally witnessed the commission of a felony, or been specifically asked by the police department to round up a suspect. Neither is the case here. All they’ve done is plainly put a bounty on the head of a person, which in my eyes is illegal, and no different than a lynch mob. The people who are providing the funds for the reward, along with those who designed and issued this poster should be arrested. The police department is by law responsible for the safety of Mr. Zimmerman. I hope nothing happens to him because of this.

This is why it is prudent to have more than one gun. I would go as far as recommending a minimum of three handguns: one for carry, a second one as a spare, and a third kept at a trusted relative's house (or some other alternate location) in case all your firearms at your home are confiscated.

The police MAY offer protection, but there is no legal requirement for them to do so, and no legal consequences for failing to protect you from any harm.
