My basic question is: What was Trayvon doing in the gated community where he was shot?

Was he cutting through the neighborhood on his way home? He was obviously on foot ... where's the proximity to his house?

Was he on his way to visit friends? Surely, you would have thought one of his friends would have come forward to say he had just spoke to him on his cell phone and he would be over shortly.

Was he on his way to purchase 'weed' or hook up with somebody? (as 90% of his tweets either extoll the virtues of weed or refer to his desire to ####)

Where was he coming from?

You know I was looking through the pictures: riding a horse, playing in the snow, family pictures. The more I see about this young man the madder I get at the Sharptons and Jackson's who promote the dark side of their communities. I reflect on my growing up, and there were times I could have been Trayvon, almost. The difference being that the extent of my "toughness" was a big mouth. And the people that I ever got physical with (as in fighting), well, we knew each other. I never would have considered hitting a stranger first, not even out of anger.

Just watched Anderson Cooper on CNN with three guests including Marsha Clark, commenting on surveillance tapes of Z arriving at the police station. Two seemed to agree he didnt seem to have evidence of injuries. And if so he would have been transported to hospital and that would be noted in the record to protect the pd. Said “very impeachable”. Marsha Clark admitted she hadn’t read the police reports. If she did she would have known he was treated at the scene by the fire dept and declined transport. These people are really ill informed compared to here on FR.

Thanks. This has been an interesting thread, specifically the timeline for the Father's story. The time of the game, the location in regards to the girl friend's townhouse, the girlfriend on the phone who was reluctant to come forward for weeks, and the distance to the nearest convenance store are all factors that raise many more questions.

I read sort of obsessively for days. Here’s what I remember:

Some years ago when a friend of Z’s was buying liquor and a cop (IIRC) was arresting the friend for being underage, Z put his hand on the policeman’s arm. He was arrested (can’t remember the exact charge) and it was dropped.

If anyone remembers more clearly and I’m wrong, I’m always happy to be corrected.

There was also a domestic dispute thing when he and his wife were arguing, and they both opted to go for counseling.

I think that’s his entire rap sheet....

The video is linked on Drudge. He was transported AFTER receiving medical attention. He was cleaned up before transport in the police car. Previous reports indicated 17 stitches on the back of his head. No bandages visible in the video.
