Earned it, huh? In other words, he’s made a career of campaigning and, well, he was just next in line.

this will no longer be a big issue to the voters.

Well what dunce created/approved and embraces Romneycare? He's OK for you to be president? Big gov't pro homo pro abortion Romney. He's a do nothing FOR AMERICA and to the left of Kennedy.

He is still a POS - a bigger one now since the SC shot down it's counterpart.

I see a disturbing number of people going soft on Romney.

I’m sorry but that is absolute 100% BS! The establishment wanted Crist. The tea party was in at it’s height, they are the ones that got Rubio elected, it sure was NOT the GOP establishment. The fought for Crist until the end when they knew he had little chance.

See, I don’t think that it’s the country that’s too liberal... it’s Washington D.C. that’s way too far to the left. I believe this is a conservative leaning country as evidenced by Ronald Reagan winning two presidential elections in major landslides. Unfortunately, the Republican Party is stuck in their little inside-the-beltway bubble surrounded by leftists and left-wing media which continually leads them to falsely conclude that the party must moderate its positions on everything in order to win elections. And thus they keep nominating moderate presidential candidates.

But otherwise you’re right about our conservative elected officials being badly outnumbered. 2010 was a good start, but we have to keep putting more conservatives in Washington and continue holding the ones who are already there accountable.

That would get me really excited about this election. A dream ticket. I don’t think Sarah is interested right now. I think the abuse she and her family have taken has taken a toll on her. Maybe in 2016.

I know what you mean, but I also think this: she would feel safe with Newt. she would trust him and that he wouldn't let the media eat her alive. Newt was one of the few people who spoke very very positively about her when she first came on the scene, while everyone was still testing the waters. so, I think there is this one difference between now and 2008...

but you are also right: who could blame her if she said, you gotta be kidding...

A very weird thing to do. I agree. However let’s talk about obama. He said his girls had wanted a dog, a pet, for many years. Why didn’t he and Moochelle ever get one for them? Then he said after the elections he would get them one. he didn’t. Then it was after he was in the WH and he still didn’t until finally Ted the swimmer basically dumped on on them to end the controversy.

Those lazy POS’s waited until they got in the WH so their “servants” could clean up after the dog. Had he not gotten elected, I can assure you those kids would still have no dog.

With Romney we’ll get conservative justices like David Souter.

I’ll vote for Obama b4 I’d vote for Romney.

Katie....this isn't over til we know if or not Romney gets his delegates....if not... on to convention...and that is where the rubber will hit the road.

The blame goes to the media and 'those' behind the scenes controlling the flow of information passed to the pundits pushing it out there, for in doing so 'the public is being mis-informed'. Newt hasn't stopped yet...and this isn't the first time he's put staff on lay off....and note it's “lay-off”...nor is it the first time money has dwindled. And he rose again.

I remain in Newt's court and am not going to let the media use Obamas mic episode to “scare” me into supporting Romney as is happening. Rubio said himself that is why he chose to support Romney now...and the Republican Elites are hoping that Obamas revealed statement will unite the people behind Romney.

We forget...it's not our time yet to vote....and the race isn't done....Newt said not to pay attention to how the news reports what's going on....and I can believe him for he took them on right from the get go and exposed them, I think he trusted the American people to wait....and let this play out to the finish line......Palin said about the same thing.

So I'm convinced this has yet to play out as the media would have us believe....there's still time and God is never late to 'His' appointed time frames when He might choose to enter the affairs of men.

Israel came to the edge of the Red Sea and there appeared no way out.....the people were frightened and giving up hope they would survive. ...."God stepped in"....opened the way...and Israel marched forward....not to forget also the enemy drowned in their own stupidity when they thought they could also make it to the other side.

This is not over until God says it's over....He is still in charge be it He determines this nation continue to be Judged or He shows us great Mercy and allows us another chance to bring this nation back to a nation under God. Newt's willing to lead that charge......but it remains God's choice in how this will play out when all is said and doe...and it's not a done deal.. yet.

LOL! Good post. I hate the GOP establishment with a passion. They don’t send me anything anymore because I kept using their pre-paid envelopes to tell them off.

Romney will be so destroyed by Obama by election day that it’s not even going to be a contest.

Another one who is controlled by the GOP E and behind the LIBERAL CANDIDATE. Conservatism is dead to them - their mantra.

GO NEWT! The only one with a love for our country. The politicians love their careers.
