Arpaio is very intelligent and already knew what the response would be:
I guess common sense would be to send it to them. The Selective Service director is appointed by the president. They only have 136 employees in the whole organization. I presume if I did that, what do you think theyre gonna to do with it? The director who was appointed from San Antonio, Texas, eight months into the Obama administration, what do you think hes gonna do? Hes probably gonna call some guy at the White House if he can get up to the chief of staff to ask some advice, and then what are they gonna do? Give it to the attorney general? I dont know. So Im fighting big battles here.
i’m pretty sure Arpaio is working a lot of different angles which he has not yet mentioned publicly. personally, i suspect there are at least several very highly-placed individuals who have in-depth knowledge and evidence of this fraud who are or will work willingly with Arpaio. obama’s house of cards is crumbling and his insiders are turning on him. does anyone think the open mic incident was merely an accident?

We'll see. There has been a marked uptick in the in the amount of reporting and especially commentary, on this issue at other sites, from what I've seen.
