On FOX Orlando Wednesday evening, Robert Zimmerman, the father of the man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, said his son was the victim. He said that Martin told George Zimmerman, "You're gonna die now, or you're gonna die tonight."
“George was going to the store, and he saw someone in his community that he did not recognize as living there,” Robert Zimmerman, a retired judge, said. “Because there had been a lot of break-ins in the area, he thought that was suspicious that someone would not be walking on the street or the sidewalk, but they'd be walking right behind the townhomes.”
Robert Zimmerman said that his son, George Zimmerman, 28, then called a non-emergency number to report this stranger. He lost sight of the teen as he looked for an address to report to police, Robert Zimmerman told the FOX affiliate....

If he was reaching for his gun WHY would he or his father say anything about reaching for anything?

He already has the black vote. This will bring out more whites and Hispanics against him and cost him the election because the evidence will be clear Zimmerman acted properly.
When the interviewer asked about Martin’s girlfriend, who said that he told her that he was being followed, Robert Zimmerman said he didn’t believe her.He replied: “I don't believe she was on the phone with him, and I find it very strange with the publicity involved with this that all of the sudden, after three weeks, someone would remember that they were on the phone. I believe the FBI and others investigating this will find that that did not happen.”
He may have 95% of that voting block nailed down - no matter what - but the trick is to get them motivated to show up to the polls in November. If the Dems can motivate 70+% of this voting block to show up to the polls by waving a bloody shirt, as opposed to the normal 20% - expect them to wave the bloody shirt.
Race warfare and class warfare are the Dems tools to achieve their nefarious designs.

The question is will anything society does to "accommodate" their requests ever be enough....I don't think so....no matter how much equality is given and or shared it's just never going to end this idea of being "victims"....
Some have said this whole event has set things back considerably....well it's beginning to for me as I see masses of black people responding to the pipers
What do they want? This isn't about Martin....and this isn't about race....we've all seen events such as this in all races. So what to do they want?
IMO it looks like there are blacks who have broken away from the 70's mindset...they have risen above it all....joined society and are living life.
Then there are those who continue to live in the victim mode...never breaking out of that mold and thus any reason to cry racism is their cry.
I'm trying to understand but the more I hear them speak at these gatherings...and I am listening...the less I see of a desire to resolve differences....do they want to? I'm beginning to think not. Either they don't want to let go of the past, or they simply cannot....perhaps both.
It is very discouraging to see this happening....and frankly how this Martin thing continues I have less and less respect for whatever cause they think they have, and unfortunately am beginning to not care one way or the other.

Did he ever make that call? If not, it would be, according to his story, that Travyon had attacked. I guess I figure if the kid was going to attack and punch him in the nose, he was approaching him quickly.

I don't see anything which is going to change the equation at all. Every election it looks more and more like a war of "good" against "evil" as they no longer hide their wickedness because it's become a society "norm"...and it looks like our guys are helping them for not taking stands. Are we truly that "done" in this nation?... I think it may very well be so.

Well said. If I may add one observation - it seems some blacks and most extreme leftists believe whites are born with unfair, unseen privileges, and this is the source of some blacks' perceived inequality of outcome academically, socially and financially.
It is remarkably like a Cargo Cult except that instead of cargo it is the spoils of "white privilege" they seek, and the ritual is the feigned outrage, the looting and the indignation.
Contrast with blacks who don't buy into this garbage and become physicians, scientists and other successful, contributing members of society.
