The question is will anything society does to "accommodate" their requests ever be enough....I don't think so....no matter how much equality is given and or shared it's just never going to end this idea of being "victims"....

Well said. If I may add one observation - it seems some blacks and most extreme leftists believe whites are born with unfair, unseen privileges, and this is the source of some blacks' perceived inequality of outcome academically, socially and financially.

It is remarkably like a Cargo Cult except that instead of cargo it is the spoils of "white privilege" they seek, and the ritual is the feigned outrage, the looting and the indignation.

Contrast with blacks who don't buy into this garbage and become physicians, scientists and other successful, contributing members of society.

Your post reminded me of a black associate I worked with who had a dream of owning her own business...and she finally opened a small shop in the community. As it grew she had the idea of opening another one in a nearby community and sought individuals who might invest with her in doing just that.

Long story short, an interested Investor was meeting her at her home and I was there just prior. She shared her ‘very real fear’ that once this “White” investor saw she was “black” he wouldn't go any further. More talking until I finally realized she had lost sight of how far she had come, with very little help from others, and she had already proved her capabilities and success and THAT is what she must stand on....not some idea which had plagued her from attempting to do this in the first place. etc. etc. You get the picture.

Well she forged ahead and opened another business with this Investors assistance. He wanted to be a silent partner from the financial aspect only. All decisions he would trust her with and did. And that business too succeeded very well.

I tell this because I don't believe many in the black community get encouragement amongst each other...aside from those who have already broken out of this mindset. And she shared that with me explaining there is a very real jealousy when a black person breaks away from the crowd....that they try to pull you back. And I also heard this from Hispanics as well.....

So there are very real race issues within the races themselves which they have to overcome as well as the preconceived ideas they are up against surviving prejudices in the white community............and they “think” that this is a race issue when in fact this problem also occurs within the white race.....it's just life and there will always be people pulling you back regardless of race ...that's why it takes “courage” in the face of fear to break away and do what your hearts desire is to do.

Your comment about the looting, outrage etc. makes sense....I see that with the students who go into stores in these groups and steal.....I suspect they figure they are “owed” that or that “they'll get theirs one way or another”.

I have a few black friends....and just for clarity...also a “few” white friends....who I have oftentimes spoken with on how they broke away from this mindset. They shared they simply saw their dream and determined no matter what the obstacle or set backs they were going to get where they wanted to go.....perseverance... says that best which is never bound by race or color!

“white privilege”

******

Second time I’ve read this phrase in the past few years...first time came after reading responses to “The Help”. Deserves a thread of its own, really. I am convinced that it’s “black privilege” that has created the racial divides but few blacks will ever admit that they are part of the problem, no matter their education, financial status nor societal standing.
