You’ve hit the nail on the head...be prepared to receive some flak for it.

More reasons:

We like communism.
We like the thought of armed rebellion and fighting in the streets.
The Rapture is coming anyway.
Mitt is a Mormon.
Freedom is just too confusing and complicated for me. Better to have someone sort it all out for me.

>But Romney? I honestly didn’t believe a liberal like Mitt would win the nomination.<

.
It only shows that Republicans are not as conservative as they pretend to be. Liberalism is well established in the GOP.

If the Republicans can sweep the WH, House and Senate, it’s a huge win for America.

Not very huge at all, if it's just another speed bump (e.g. 2003-2007) on the highway to unfettered Marxism.

If there would be a silver lining to the very dark cloud of 4 more years of the Obamanation, it could be to bring about sooner the coming conservative revolution (if it's coming).

The Obama-Romney team is a loser anyway you cut. Obama-Romney is the same thing. No Obama, No Romney.

I’ve always supported other, more conservative candidates, but the sad fact is that most Republicans have made the decision for us, and Mitt is going to be the nominee. Before you decide to sit on your hands and hand the election to that proto-communist who has already done such a fine job of mangling our nation, ask yourself this: is it even faintly possible that Mitt Romney’s attitudes and beliefs have changed over the years? In other words, do you still hold precisely the same ideas and beliefs you held 20 and thirty years ago, or have you learned and changed your mind? Clearly some of the things Mitt (and many conservatives, including the Heritage Foundation) believed years ago have been implemented and found not to work, so he seems to have realized the mistake.

Christians dont need a website telling them the right way to vote as a Christian.

That's true, they have the Bible.

Using the bible as your guide, how do you justify voting for a man who is the Father of Gay Marriage in the US and is constantly lying about it?

Using the bible as your guide, how do you justify voting for a man who practices lying almost as much as he practices breathing?

Using your bible as your guide, how do you justify voting for a man who routinely and continually practices character assasination on the other candidates in the race?

Do what you have to in your state primary or caucus, but when it comes to the November General Election, you can count on this Christian voting for the GOP ticket.

You’re not going to find Romney fans here, I get it. But if he continues surging ahead in the delegate count and takes the nomination, only a complete fool will say another 4 years of a socialist hell-bent on “transforming America” into a socialist utopia will be better. Those saying they are going to stay home or vote for a third party says how ignorant they really are about who really is behind Obama and how destructive and poisonous he is.

If that’s all it’s come down to, you’re in trouble. Romney appoints liberal judges. Just take a look at his Mass. court appointments and he has no problems with the Red Chinese getting US secrets.

These are things that he has already shown us. What else is Romney hiding?

I feel sorry for all of you who have given up. I’m sure there are some here who are closet liberals, some who are Mittbots and some who are GOP-e and traitors. I will continue to inform anyone who considers voting for Romney about the person they are supporting. Unless you are a socialist, the more you see of him, the less you will like. I’m sure Obama will make certain every conservative gets to see plenty of Mitt.

*** The casting away of all principle by those who call themselves “conservative.” ***

And when there are 15 of you left on this forum, what kind of clout will your brand of “conservatism” net you?

Ahhhh, but you’ll feel righteous going down with the ship.

“I’m not even going to try. Four more years of Obama would be a disaster for this country, and I’m not using hyperbole. Romney was my last choice, but by God, if he’s the nominee I’m behind him and ready to fight. Any so-called conservative who sits this one out is playing for the other side, plain and simple.”

I couldn’t agree with you more. Romney is whatever he has to be to get to be president. However, I don’t believe he hates America. I believe Obama hates America and thinks the country needs to be cut to size.

And who knows, the weight of the presidency for a man who really loves his country could result in a better president than we expect. We know what we’re getting with BHO.

There are more folks who still “hold these truths to be self-evident” than you know, obviously.

Good! Vote for Obama!

If Satan and the son of perdition were running, I'd be told to vote "for the lesser of two evils." Well, I do not have to choose either.

And don't tell me not choosing is the same as choosing. He who pulls the lever for either of these anti-christs will have to answer for it in the next life.

Ahhhh, but you’ll feel righteous going down with the ship.

No, the ones going down with the ship are those who claim to be "conservative" but refuse to get off the sinking GOP garbage scow.

And by the way, the phony self-righteousness of those very people is on display right now like never before.

They seriously think that supporting the most liberal governor in the history of the republic, Mitt Romney, just because he has an R by his name, is patriotic, and that they now have a license to insult anyone who refuses to sacrifice the founding principles of this free republic on their altar of perceived political expediency.

If this site is allowed to exist 2 years into Obama’s second term, I hope to find you and ask you how much better it is than a Romney presidency?

Those truths won’t be self evident when Obama and his band of Marxists are done with us.

Being dogmatic without thought is now way to go through life son.

This is no insult, in fact, you’ll take it as high praise. It is people of your mindset that are referenced when pundits say that Ronald Reagan couldn’t win a Republican primary these days.
