Senate Republican staffers continue to look though the 2010 health care reform law to see whats in it, and their latest discovery is a massive $17 trillion funding gap.
The more we learn about the bill, the more we learn it is even more unaffordable than was suspected, said Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Republicans budget chief in the Senate.
The bill has to be removed from the books because we dont have the money, he said.
The hidden shortfall between new spending and new taxes was revealed just after Supreme Court justices grilled the laws supporters about its compliance with the Constitutions limits on government activity. If the court doesnt strike down the law, it will force taxpayers find another $17 trillion to pay for the increased spending.
The $17 trillion in extra promises was revealed by an analysis of the laws long-term requirements. The additional obligations, when combined with existing Medicare and Medicaid funding shortfalls, leaves taxpayers on the hook for an extra $82 trillion in health care obligations over the next 75 years.

was channeling the Saint Santorum supporters logic.
LOL!! You did good - except you didn't call me a name. ;)
The US GDP is $14.6 trillion
So the US generates $3 trillion LESS than what Obamacare is worth so far
Looking around on the net, the TOTAL WEALTH of the US is around $50 trillion. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)
$17 trillion is ONE THIRD of the TOTAL WEALTH OF THE US
The liabilities for Medicaid, Medicare, and SS, according to the article for around 75 years, is $99 trillion
According to the article, Social Security is already in debt for $7 trillion
The Fed budget is around $3.7 trillion, while only taking in revenue of around $2.5 trillion, making a deficit of around $1 trillion
In short, we are already broke, and couldn't even pay for future entitlements to begin with, BEFORE Obamacare
Is it not safe to say that Obamacare is not only unconstitutional, but mathematically impossible?
My calculator just melted. LOL.
The healthcare bill NEVER was about healthcare, but the vehicle to assure the collapse of the nation so as to put into place the fascist regime to "save the people" from evil capitalism.

Cheers!
Quadrillion, Something, sextillion. Somehow I remember that much of math
And the Federal Government while you’re at it.
-——At some point, it is beyond fixing.——
We are past the PNR. ( point of no return )
Print more money. More money. More money. That worked for Germany in the 1920s, and for Argentina in the 1970s. What could be simpler?/sarc with tinge of bitterness
Secretary Panetta recently told the President that two Brazilians had been killed in Afghanistan. Obviously distrought over the news, but distracted by the economy, the President said, “How much is a brazillion?” I think that’s the word you are looking for.
The government is indeed broke.
It is impossible to continue. The farcical US economy will fail. it is only a question of when. The answer is: when people stop believing.
Pay off debt.
Collect from all creditors asap.
Sell fancy cars.
Simplify and go to cash or tradable commodities.
Arm up and ammo up.
Go to the Dr and dentist and get your check ups.
This will be 10 thousand times worse than a hurricane. Either the nazi commie progressives will take over by force, or the country will fracture into roving bands of mini-armies like Bosnia and Kosivo, to keep the gun and ammo trade, $5 gas, coke, meth and dope trade, and corruption going. Where do you think all that money went?
Just get ready if the supremes kill obama care, and Omullah loses the election, a race war will be the centerpiece of the violent political response, the Chinese will want their money back, and the unions will come unstuck, as will the welfare class when the free money goes away and economy deflates.
Look at what happened in Tunisia last year. Look at what happened in Argentina 10 years ago. That is what it is going to be like.
Sorry but this country has not really lived by the constitution since before my birth (1944) if it ever really did. I see no chance that we will really return to it, even most who call themselves conservatives have never really thought about what actually living by the constitution would mean. I estimate that over ninety percent of federal activity would have to cease. I admit that is purely a seat of the pants estimate but I really don’t see how it can be off all that much. Most of current federal activity is supposedly justified by either the commerce clause or the general welfare clause and it all amounts to saying that the founders went through all that blood, sweat, toil and tears for years to give us this nation and this constitution and then in the end just said, “Oh, hell, do whatever you want to do, I am tired of it all.”
The first thing that would have to happen is that voting would once again have to be restricted to male property owners who can read, write and understand the constitution. Pigs will fly before that happens. We have supreme court justices now who cannot understand the constitution.
Actually quadrillion.
But the economy will totally collapse long before we get there.
>>>The entire GDP of the United States is currently about $14 trillion. The projected liabilities to be incurred as a result of ObamaCare are not only unsupportable, even in the short-run, they are entirely impossible without provoking complete economic collapse.<<<<
At the risk of tin-foil hat time, that’s the only reason I can see for it. Sort of like Reagan’s plan to bankrupt the Soviets with the “Star Wars” missile defense shield, but this time there’s a section of our own society trying to take down the American government.
Then, as happens in all good revolutions, the crisis becomes the cover for the takeover.
I don’t believe tin foil is required. There is simply no there reasonable explanation as to why the radicals who control the Democrat Party are proposing increased (and escalating!) levels of spending and taxation far in excess of our GDP. Do they truly believe, all historical evidence to the contrary, that government spending can create wealth? They refer to such spending as “investment” - as though government had a first claim on your income - which, in point of fact, they do believe.

Amen!
Geez, you sure are an ignorant Freeper. Don’t you know it is “Gazillion?”
Sheesh, doesn’t anyone go to school anymore?
