I don't know what it means, but this strikes me as odd. From an interview with the parents of slain teenager Trayvon Martin by the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA):
Martin, Trayvon’s mother, Sybrina Fulton; Benjamin Crump, the family lawyer; Al Sharpton and former New York Gov. David Patterson participated in an exclusive 1-hour telephone conference call last Thursday with more than three dozen publishers from the National Newspaper Publishers Association (NNPA).
Martin told publishers how he learned that his son had been killed.
“I had been out to dinner. When we got back between 10:15 and 10:45, he wasn’t at home. The night before, he had been to the movies with my nephew, who had recently moved up to the Orlando area from Miami. Every time Trayvon would come up here, they would find something to do, usually they would go to dinner. My nephew is 20 years old, a very responsible young man. So there was not panic at that moment that he was not home. I made several attempts to call his cell phone and it was going straight to voicemail. I called my nephew’s cell phone and it was going straight to voicemail. So at that point, I figured they had been in the movies because they would always go to the movies.”
Tracy Martin and his girlfriend went to bed. But the next morning, the day Martin and his son had planned to return to Miami, he learned that Trayvon still wasn’t back in the house. Tracy called his nephew again, this time reaching him and learning that Trayvon wasn’t with him.
Today, CNN published comments from a Martin family attorney that seems to conflict with the account proffered by Tracy Martin:
During the 10-day suspension, Tracy Martin took his son with him to Sanford, about four hours away from Miami, while he visited his fiancée because neither he nor Fulton wanted their son to stay in his hometown where he could enjoy his friends, said Horton, who has been in close contact with Martin's father.
"He wasn't just suspended from school and up at Sanford kicking it and having a good time," said Horton. Martin had only been to Sanford a handful of times.
His fateful walk to the convenience store for a bag of Skittles and an iced tea on the evening of February 26 happened only because the teenager pleaded to leave the apartment, said Horton.
"The only reason he got a chance to go to the store is because he begged his dad to go," he said. At the time, his father and his fiancée had gone out to dinner and to watch a basketball game, leaving Martin at the townhouse, according to Martin family spokesman Ryan Julison.
While walking to the store, Martin was on the phone with his girlfriend, whom he had been talking to for over 6½ hours throughout the day, the family's attorney said, citing phone records. The girl, who did not want to be identified, said she told Martin to run, but he refused, the family attorney said.
What strikes me is the father made no mention of his son begging him to be allowed to go to the store in his interview with the NPAA. That would be crushing to a parent, if true. They would be guilt-ridden, thinking if only they had said no, he wouldn't have been out.
Instead, Tracy Martin says he was not very concerned about the whereabouts of his son until the next morning.
It strikes me as odd.
Not only did Zimmerman have a valid CCW, Livius, but any qualified American citizen acting in any capacity has the right to be armed, should he so desire. Besides, after a rash of burglaries in this complex, he would be a fool not to be armed. The only set of reliable facts around is The City Manager of Sanford's Report. Go on line and read it.

Early pictures are of happy times. The hope they had for his future.
Pictures of how he was right before the death, reminds them of his problems, their problems. Reality of how life really was: Divorce, drugs, wanna be, etc. Very painful.
IMO This family was in pain before the death of their child, they need a real Rev in their lives, not the showboats.
A large percentage of substance abuse can be traced back to self medicating emotional problems....pain, grief etc.

Grief and pain are no excuse for disgusting behavior. Many of us on FR and all over the world have had incredble pain and tragedy. Each human has the free will to change, to learn, and cease blaming others. It’s not easy but diamonds aren’t cheap either.

Not that one can tell a person’s character from “fun time” picture, But am betting that he struggled with parenting. And Trayvon needed him to be a parent.
Sometimes teens act out to get an absent parents attention.
His parents weren’t married (I think they were never married) and his father apparently hung out with gangsta rappers as per photo above.
This is a 3-D illustration of how the left has destroyed black families and the “culture” in general. Now more and more white kids as well as black kids emulate the “gansta” crapola now. 70 to 80% of black babies (figures I’ve seen vary) are born to a mother not married to the father. There is no hope for most of these kids by the time they are teenagers. They’re ruined.
Unless and until our entire country is again run on Constitutional and moral principles it will only get worse, until there armed strife is rampant. JMHO.
The only hope there is for a lot of these kids is something like Boys Town - if it was run with really good people. Now homnosexuals would demand to work there.
A lot of these rappers are actual criminals and murderers, they’re worse than just immature. It’s a very dark and dangerous and violent subculture, that so many teenagers idolize. Horrible.
So, in response, did the generally overweight and out-of breath (clearly in the phone recording) Zimmeramn suddenly get a superhuman burst of energy (and tracking skill) and chase Martin down, or did Martin turn and confront/assault Zimmerman as he was walking back to his truck?

Mother lived in Miami. One report said father lived there too and they were only visiting the girl friend. A freeper pointed out that the gated community might have rules against non-family members living in a rental, therefore, they only say father is not living with GF.
Mama, copy and paste that link to the only KNOWN set of facts. It is amazing that so many of the talking heads seem ignorant of this, not to mention a lot of us freepers.
It was written and is updated by the City Manager, who BTW, is a black man. Quite simply, facts make no difference to those who have seized upon this to foment racial violence in the run-up to the election. The more the better for Obama in the big states. Obama will not be called on this any more than he was called on Constitutional legitimacy. The more WE drift from the known facts, the more it helps them.
Again, these are facts as presently known. The rest is speculation, or in the case of the Martin legal team, Sharpton, the MSM, and elected Democrats in hoodies, DIS-information.
Freepers who have not read it and are focusing on background information are choosing sides in the "Good Boy Attacked vs. Bad Boy Attacker" scenario, or what is IMNSVHO, moralizing and dramatizing quite needlessly.
Read the information on the Sanford city link. Again, the more we drift from the facts in gray areas and background, the more we help those who seek to help Obama by causing CHAOS.
My question on the girlfriend story is exactly when did she first make any kind of a public statement?
I’m betting it was more than 2 weeks after the event, but then I’m a cynic.
It wasn’t 3 days, it was more like 12 hours.
