This week, the Supreme Court measured Obamacare to see whether it fits within the confines of the Constitution. The big picture is whether the Constitution limits the behavior of the federal government to the plain meaning and historical context of the Constitution, or whether clever lawyers and politicians can interpret language in the Constitution so as to justify whatever Congress wishes to do. Does the Constitution mean what it says? Does it limit the federal government to the powers it has delegated to Congress? Or is it a blank check for Congress to do whatever it can get away with?
One of those delegated powers is the power to regulate interstate commerce. The language in the commerce clause authorizes Congress “to regulate” commerce among the states. When James Madison wrote that phrase, he and the other framers were animated by the startling lack of interstate commerce among the states under the Articles of Confederation. This was the period after the Revolution and before the Constitution when the merchants and bankers who had financed the Revolution also controlled the state legislatures. They were both creditors, because they had lent money to the state governments to finance the war, and debtors, because they now controlled the machinery of state government that owed them money.

Forcing you to buy broccoli or join a gym, is a gift of benevolence from the federal government. According to Elena Kagan we should fall on our faces and thank the federal government for tellins us how to spend our own money!!!

Not now, however after the election, an Obama government might have more... ahem..."flexibility" over what (and how much) you eat.
And, when the inevitable super-inflation crushes the Obama/Bernanke economy, we might find ourselves eating whatever morsels we can get our hands on (broccoli included).

They can try...under Commiecare if broccoli is determined to be good for your health, AND Fed. money is funding your “free” care...why not? And they can try to PREVENT you from eating barbecue, hamburgers, french fries, etc. Remember it’s THEIR money (which was stolen from you to begin with, of course;) DEFEAT OBAMACARE!!!

Have they forced restaurants to serve meals with less if no salt?
Has schools removed candy and soda machines and put in good stuff like Monsters and Red Bull?
The next "phase II" Obamacare legislation is what will give them the power to force you to eat it or anything else they think is good for you or the country or face criminal charges.
Remember and remember well, the Left NEVER stops advancing government power and control.
They can probably make you eat broccoli; they’ve already banned trans-fats in NYc, now they just have to ban everything else except broccoli. Soon Big Macs in NYC will be made from a pattie of broccoli, sandwiched between 2 other patties of broccoli; it will have a special sauce on it, which will be broccoli squeezings.
You’ll have gas that will make you miss the OLD Big Macs...
