The liberals will cry crocodile tears if the mandate is stricken while the rest of the bill remains. They don’t need the mandate since the rest of the bill firmly puts the insurance industry under the control of the Federal government where it can be run out of business.
Single payer is what Obama promised to the SEIU and the regulatory features of the bill guarantee he can get there as long as he gets a second term.
The fun ends of course when people in the SEIU actually need the care. They will be bummed to find that Obamacare has put a lot of stuff out of reach, no matter how many dollars they try to chase it with.
