On Friday, the Daily News obtained EMS documents suggesting Zimmerman, who an ex-colleague said was fired from a security job for being too aggressive, did not sustain serious injuries in the fatal encounter.
Paperwork detailing the EMS response to the shooting scene shows that a call for a second ambulance was canceled.
An audiotape containing the EMS communications, also obtained by The News on Friday, records unidentified workers discussing the scene.
Zimmerman’s condition is mentioned briefly in the 30-minute recording.
“Do we have a second patient?” a man asks.
“That’s affirmative. We have a second patient,” a woman replies. “The second patient is not a gunshot.”

Disgusting on two counts - first that their biases and agendas are so blatantly on parade.
Second: this headline was written, reviewed by an editor and published by people who are supposed to (by education) have an advanced understanding of the English language. I've never seen so many misspellings, grammar errors and general misuse of words as I have in what is written by "professional" journalists.
BTW, you really gotta' look at the articles with the maps showing where everybody was, and when. The guy who did it wants Zimmerman to be innocent, but his efforts are commendable anyway because he shows that the incident with the shooting took place on the sidewalk leading to the townhouse Trayvon was going to.

I think you miss the point that even if Zimmerman initiated the “confrontation” (a theory for which we have seen no evidence), he is still permitted by law to use deadly force once he is on the ground being beaten by Martin. Once the “tables have turned”, so to speak, Martin must discontinue his assault or he runs afoul of the law himself, triggering Zimmerman’s right to self defense.
To hone your point, I think the News is targeting an audience that it know is stupid and prejudice to dredge up more circulation.
Not surprised he looked for signs of struggle. Not that there had to be ~ but he says he looked, and he didn't find any.
English isn’t even close to being our first language anymore.
When I was a proofreader, I would get into heated arguments with the “graphic designers” who would insist on using incorrect English (as in the title of this article)...they were all younger and just incredibly ignorant; they also had no ambition to learn the correct way to write; they said it was too much trouble and “who gives a s***? what do I need that for? I got you!”
They also cannot read cursive writing-I had to print and even then, they weren’t sure what I meant!
I believe the future of America is in the hands of the home schooled or the PS student with involved, exceptional parents.
It’s so sad to see how far language has fallen in our country in my lifetime....

Without any eyewitness to say, it is just as possible that Zimmerman showed the weapon, Martin felt threatened and the fight began. Remember, Zimmerman's own brother said that they were fighting for control.
So, the question that bears repeating is...
Exactly when did Martin realize that the guy who had been following him was armed? When and in what manner did Zimmerman show it?
This is because they no longer can report the story as an innocent black child who was walking home from choir practice when an evil racist white man shot him for no reason.
Now that there is evidence that the budding young thug ATTACKED zimmerman, the story is now going to be that he didnt have to shoot him because he wasn’t injured badly enough
I hope Zimmerman sues them out of existance after this (especially NBC and MSNBC)
