OK - I’m wrong.
Only one day to identify him as missing. Even though - he was missing the entire time.
Also included “it was not uncommon for him to stay out all night” - at just turned 17? Away from home? With no phone call, text, or previous message concerning whereabouts?
For a kid on his third suspension?
Yeah - his dad runs a real tight ship.
You know - re reading the notes, and the prevalency of semi truths from the parents - you think “oh - that makes sense - maybe he was with his cousin”. etc. Didn’t they give the reason for the skittles run - to be “for his little brother” - um - who was watching “little brother”? Did no one think it odd - that he left for skittles - and didn’t return? No text - nothing? Did his brother not wonder “where are my skittles?”
I’m not blaming the kid - to me it is obviously a “2 dumb guy” event. Probably based on false assumptions- Zimmerman thought/assumed he was following a burgler, and Martin thought some hispanic dude was following him around - not realizing it was neighborhood watch. Martin - CLEARLY - enjoyed playing the tough guy - the tats, gold teeth, twitter account, language, etc. And Zimmerman clearly enjoyed his cowboy role. But - just 2 bad drivers, on the same road.
And all of the BS from the Martin side - they have no credibility. None.
