Sarah Palin will guest co-host NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday, signaling a new intensity in the morning show ratings war. In a statement posted on its website, "Today" promised that the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate will "reveal a different side of her than you've seen before." The announcement comes after it was revealed that former "Today" host Katie Couric will fill in for Robin Roberts as co-host of ABC's rival morning show, "Good Morning America" this week.

Tell you what, this almost redeems the Today show for a lot of wrongs.

Worst thing they ever did was get rid of J. Fred Muggs, though.

Talk about a brain drain when he left.

I have no doubt the entertainment “media” have already prepared their template “Palin fails miserably at `Today` stint” hit piece and are waiting for the first hint of a perceived gaffe to fill the blanks.

I don't get some of this...

* Did she get a waiver from Fox to do this?
* Or given the axing of Bolding and Judge Napalitano she is looking for a new home given Fox oow totally sucks other than Cavuto and the Saturday Morning financial shows.

What also has me perplexed...

The leftist scum (expecially the Lame Streams) say she is not electable, so over her, etc etc etc, yet when their ratings are down, boy they will flock. If so they are cowards, because in their hearts they know their is something about this woman. yet they will never admit it...

"Today" host Katie Couric will fill in for Robin Roberts as co-host of ABC's rival morning show

With the exception of little Georgie, I like GMA alot, and especially Lara.

Every time I see the group standing together, I laugh out loud how everyone towers over Georgie.....

I don't know how they could bring on Couric, personally I can't stand her, she's such a phony....

What a great opportunity to make an unexpected, unconventional announcement.

If Sarah were running the liberal media would not let her host.

It is not enough to say that the broadcast media are powerful. They create a separate and caustic virtual reality, then broadcast that marxist/liberal, ideologically driven reality into the homes of millions of people.

The Today show would never let Palin host if she were running.
It is only because she is not a threat to become president that the media has let up on the constant smears etc. against her , like saying Sarah was responsible for that liberal psycho shooting all those people and that congresswoman etc.

I hope she's ready. They hate her. They will try everything to make her look bad.

Producers will shout in her earpiece,

They will give her bad cues,

They will give her bad words and bad sentences,

...

I'll pray for Sarah so she defeats all these dirty tricks.

Why, Sarah, why? How many times do you have to get zapped before you finally learn to stay far, far away from anything to do with that witch Katie?

All I gotta say is, Couric musta really pissed off some of the large wigs at NBC for them to go crawling to Palin to help get their revenge.

I heard it too. Did you hear that joke in regards to how she should not go hunting with Roker and his family in order to avoid any hunting accidents?

Besides Palin’s surprise star turn on “Today,” Tuesday’s edition will also include “a big NBC announcement” by Ryan Seacrest. That’s according to a Twitter posting by NBC on Sunday night.
