Bill Clinton: Romney Would Lose to Obama
UPI ^ | April 2, 2012

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton predicted Monday Mitt Romney would lose in a general election match-up against President Barack Obama.

Clinton told ABC's "Good Morning America" he doubts Romney could rebound from a tough Republican primary and negative ratings.

"Mr. Romney has a different challenge than I did," said Clinton, a Democrat who came back to win a second term in 1996 after a difficult primary and high negative ratings. "Even though he had a bruising primary and higher negatives and I did too, mine was just one long character attack. It was a personal attack on me. You know, 'You shouldn't have this guy be president.'"

Clinton said he was able to stage a comeback because "the American people are inherently fair."

Well...he has got me there.

It's hard to go for a Statist-lite when you can have the real thing in a full blown Communist.

When are the Republicans going to get it!? We don't want a "Me Too!" alternative to Ubama.

FUMR

And FU too BC! Philandering Jack-wagon!

They’re both amoral psychopaths but there are several big differences.....in ‘96 unemployment wasn’t 9%,half of American households weren’t getting food stamps,a third of the country’s mortgages weren’t under water and gasoline wasn’t $5 a gallon.

Oops...forgot to mention...in ‘96 the destruction of this country’s health care system wasn’t an issue.By then the voters had forgotten about HillaryCare.Somehow I doubt that they’ve forgotten about OsamaObamaCare.

Now that Romney’s got the nomination all but sewn up, FOX News is starting to attack him more than they ever did. This weekend on the Campaign Insiders (Sunday 5:30) Cadell, Schoen, and the conservative spent about 10 minutes just railing into him for gaffes, bad polls, etc. Cadell said the Republicans might need to can him at the convention because there’s no law that says they have to commit political suicide.

Now tonight O’Reilly is openly mocking him for the car elevator thing. Juan Williams says he was enjoying seeing them tear up Romney.

Seems like FOX’s plan all along was to hand Obama the election by shoving the worst possible candidate down our throat by giving him sweetheart coverage until he got the nomination, and then bashing him from that point on. It seems more and more plausible that both the Republican party and the media they’re most in bed with desired this outcome.

As some have theorized, they may think the country’s in a hopeless position and is going to get worse before it’s better, and they want that to happen on Obama’s watch. Or it may be just self-serving. They can have a lot more fat and happy party members if they pack the Congress while letting a Democrat president take the blame for everything.

"the American people are inherently fair."

More like inherently stupid, which is why the Founders didn't put a right to vote in the Constitution and were against Universal Suffrage, in fact warned against it vehemently, as it would result in the destruction of the Republic.

The morons who vote for marxists just happen to be comprised of the same groups that have been enfranchised via Constitutional Amendment over the last 100 years.

What a coincidence!

If Romney loses after he was shoved down our throats, the DC GOP must either be removed and replaced by real conservatives or there will be a third party. Romney will have my vote if nominated, but he may be the last republican I vote for. A loss means a new start.

Mr. Romney has a different challenge than I did,

You mean he has to win a two-man race and actually reach 50% of the vote?
