I know a guy from Jarrell, Texas.
After an F2 tornado in 1985, he built a cement storm cellar.
When an F5 approached in 1997, he headed for the cellar and saw this:

A mile wide, 300 MPH winds, traveling 10 MPH...
He got in his truck and drove off.
When he returned, his storm cellar was gone!
(So was the entire town of Jarrell.)
