Palin: ‘I’m ecstatic we beat the ‘perky one”

Sarah Palin beat Katie Couric in the ratings game Tuesday when the two women hosted competing morning shows. Palin, never one to hold punches, gloried in her dominance over “the ‘perky one.’”

“[F]rankly, I’m ecstatic we beat the ‘perky one,’” Palin emailed Zap2it, along with some glowing compliments for the “Today” show staff and cast.

Her problem was not with ABC, Palin made clear, just Couric, who was filling in as the host of “Good Morning America.”

“I wouldn’t have gone up against ABC’s vacationing Robin Roberts, because she’s such a good egg,” said Palin. “By the way, both Robin and Matt Lauer have traveled the long journey to Alaska and dealt with unglamorous, rugged conditions to see more of our world; they’ve shown respect for a more unconventional Americana lifestyle, and we appreciate that.”

Conservatism only belongs to those who enjoy freedom. The others have a slave mentality.

Winning over some ex-news reader in the ratings is without value or meaningful consequence. It is not newsworthy.

But it “feels” good, so it must be good. Right?

This, for the record, is a news story of consequence: http://www.krdo.com/news/30776185/detail.html

It’s about 300 American soldiers voluntarily leaving their loved ones to serve our nation in uniform.

No, he isn’t. He served one tour and came home. Honorable.

Her son’s accomplishments have nothing to do with the self-congratulations for a non-accomplishment.

We are stuck with Mitt Romney in the worst election cycle in my lifetime. Romney is the the closest thing to Obama since Obama, and this is somehow good news or worth bragging about?

I don’t think so.

We’re stuck with Romney because you chose not to run.

And we could say that about every other person in the nation.

The knives were out for Sarah big-time on this.

Led by Jon Stweart, the collective lefty commentariat were clutching their pearls over this all day yesterday.

That's a classy thing to say and I agree. With the exception of the democrat midget, the whole cast of GMA are great and I love watching Lara's sense of humor.

This can easily be overdone. Being openly “ecstatic” over a one-time success against someone reduces you to that person’s level - or below.

Just wanted to correct a statement you made. Track Palin is PRESENTLY deployed to Afghanistan. This is his second deployment.
