Political Insiders in both parties have noticeably cooled on the vice presidential prospects of Marco Rubio.
Democratic and Republican strategists alike said Republican senator from Florida was the strongest GOP option for vice president in this week's National Journal Insiders Poll, but he carried only slim pluralities among both groups. That's a significant drop-off from the same survey taken in October, when 60 percent of Republicans and 65 percent of Democrats and considered him the party's best possible running mate.
Now, just 34 percent of GOP insiders and 28 percent of Democrats say Rubio is the party's best hope for the No. 2 spot on the presidential ticket.

Rob Portman? Are you kidding? I follow politics very closely, but cannot tell you one thing about Portman except that he’s a Republican Senator from Ohio. Period. I wouldn’t recognize him if he came to my door telling me to vote Republican.
The man has virtually zero name recognition, and unless he’s a Big Splash personality, he’s going to add nothing.
I’ve been noting the budding romance between Romney and Paul Ryan. That would be much more likely.
And what makes you think that re-electing Obama is in any way, shape, or form a pro-life position?
Voting for any pro-abortion candidate, Romney or Obama, will be one of the charges at the Judgement Seat of Christ. I am convinced. I will hold the line on my principles with this one.
I will not support the man who gave Massachusetts $50 abortions. Nor will I support Obama.
I will work for the defeat of both of those men.
Anyone that places ‘conspiracy’ and ‘theory’ in the same sentence with a straight face is either a fool or a deliberate deceiver.
Conspiracy is man’s way of doing business 90% of the time.
The U.S. Justice department spends more time investigating conspiracies than all the rest of crimes put together.

Chaps, respectfully disagree on two counts. Heard that story concerning Juan McLame too.
First, Davy Crocket would have never envisioned the subversive, anti-US Constitution organization known as the ACLU; let alone believe that a former ACLU head might ascend to SCOTUS Justice. Our times are quite different.
Second, had McLame beat 0bama, we might have two decent SCOTUS appointments. Instead we are stuck with two young hyphenated-american judical activists. Should Myth win the GOP ticket, we might see the appointment of an “Originalist” SCOTUS Justice; guaranteed this isn’t going to happen under a second 0bama term.
It appears we both prefer voting for a candidate, rather than against a candidate. But our decision matrix choices aren’t lining up that way now. We must not forget: we’re only one vote away from judicial tyranny.

A freshaman US Senator from Ohio, former Congressman and W. Bush OMB director (and before that US Trade Representitive)
He’s a boring but solid choice from a swing state and has got to be one of the top 5 most likley picks.
Portman is a generally good guy, but is sleep-inducing. Romney needs something more than that.
A governor does not have to sign legislation. He can veto and then be over-ridden by vote. He didn’t have to sign $50 abortions and he didn’t have to sign gay marriages.
Romney’s problem is that he signed them and didn’t veto them.

No the commercials were boring, they just made me think of the Goldwater/Miller ticket.
Maybe Zell Miller or failed Senate candidate Pete Coors can be assface’s running mate, take some of the drunk idiot vote away from Joe Biden.
