That sounds about right. I still have a couple of niggling questions. To be honest, I’ll have to wait [to articulate them] until I’m not so stressed for time. I also need to read your comments through once more and think about it a little further. Maybe tomorrow...or Monday.

Anyway, thanks for the input. It gave me a good basis on which to consider the issue, and I appreciate it.

By “Modern art” I mean artists like Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollack and others from some decades ago...

You’re selecting a narrow subset of modern art, just to try to show it lacks merit. There is lots of wonderful modern art that you’d have a harder time disparaging.

It’s not really a narrow subset, I just don’t know the names of the “artists” who supply crap nowadays.

I also stated that there is a lot of excellent artwork being created now but because it is not offensive, degraded and hatefully hideous it doesn’t get grants and articles about it in the NYT.

I think I’ve made myself perfectly clear.

Very nice colors in his work. I don’t agree with that comment in post 2.

RIP.

Too bad you couldn’t buy a painting cause the value of all of them just went up a whole lot.
