Newt Gingrich of Georgia and Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald throw mock tea crates into the Chattahoochee River in Roswell, Ga., in 1994.

RNC neutrality challenged on Romney

Why don’t Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum just quit?

Romney win, now almost certain, won't decide future of GOP

Thanks, Newt! How much has Romney paid you to stay in?

Newt has been intentionally sidelined by ALL concerned, media, GOP and some et cetera's because he really IS the better candidate.

He out thinks most people and would tie ozero up in knots within 10 minutes of any "debate".

He has real and simple, one syllable word plans that can be enacted immediately after taking office that would correct almost all of the wrongdoing and evil of the ozero administration.

He knows Washington, the players, who and what's in what closet and knows where the keys are.

Totally unafraid to face himself and any others.

And as is evidenced continually .. he draws a crowd wherever he speaks and folks walk away with, "Why haven't I heard this guy before?"

It's obvious Newt has the most foresight. What needs to happen, which I think will, is Newt needs to show up at the convention and just smack the HAMMER down on the establishment. I mean raise total Cain! Make it a raucous, contentious in your face political brawl!

Mitt is going to be a disaster no matter what, there is no way conservatives are going to rally behind the doofus.

The White House is lost to Obamney.

May as well enjoy the ride into the flaming pit along the way with some good Newt speeches.

Anyone and anything who keeps the Washington power brokers reminded of how fragile their support will be is a positive. They really want to forget 2010 and who got them there. They must know that Washington power is holding on by their collective fingernails and they will pay tribute to the conservative or their hold will be washed away for ever. This one isn’t over till the fat lady sings. One stupid left step by Mittens and this all starts anew.

Seriously, I’d be up for a serious, concerted third party effort by Newt or some other conservative. As it stands now, Rombama and ORomney are just two candidates running as the heads of two factions of the same party.

A choice, not an echo.

He would kick Obama’s butt - I am sorry he has not caught fire. I live in Oklahoma, a state that seemed to draw little campaigning firepower, so I do not know what message Romney used to win so many states. It was down to Gingrich and Santorum in our house - my wife and I split the difference. I suspect that happened in a lot of places.

PS - I am always amused to see that "Obama" is still not in the FreeRepubic spell check dictionary!

Happy Easter, all.
