Count Roger Kimball in among those who recognize the totalitarian atmosphere somehow created to protect President Obama. The entire range of questions related to Mr. Obama's possible ineligibility for the presidency has been rendered taboo.
Recently, Kimball wrote a piece affirming the brave observations of Diana West found in her piece, "Silence of the Lapdogs." In her essay, West explains why the incriminating findings of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's investigative team are not common knowledge.
Regarding the nativity story of Barack Obama, Kimball notes that "[i]t's not just that you are not allowed to express certain opinions about the subject. You are not even allowed to publicly entertain any questions about it."
The accepted Obama narrative has been a secure fortress for Obama. The president stays inside its walls unruffled, with lifted chin. The narrative "keeps us silent" even though in reality it's a house of cards.
To present the accepted narrative I will use the words which John Hawkins wrote in response to Mr. Kimball's piece linked to above, "Annals of censorship."
I choose John Hawkins not because I find his thinking and writing abilities to be on par with Kimball's, but because Hawkins nicely encapsulates the narrative blindly accepted by so many.
Mr. Hawkins begins his piece, "Nobody is censoring birther nonsense," with: "Respectfully, I have to say that Roger Kimball is so far off base here that he's practically on the wrong planet." Hawkins ironically dismisses the following, believing any discussion on the subject is "silliness:"

They can silence the media and the politicians but they cannot silence us. All of us MUST spread the truth to ensure obozo is voted out in 2012 or removed prior to the election!
Not only he is not eligible, he and his thugs have committed election fraud big time in 2008 and going to do it again!

I'm not going to condemn someone for concluding that there's no real story concerning the birth certificate at this point, but how is it the press hasn't tried to fill in any of the gaps in Obama's background?
Thank you. My father-in-law doesn’t know a whole lot about what I’ve been investigating but commented about a year ago that it feels just like it felt in the run-up to WWII. I’ve looked into how Hitler was able to get a whole nation to go along with his policies, and the parallels to Obama are staggering. I have no doubts that the same kinds of techniques were used in the USSR. The policies of Hitler, USSR, Obama, Kenya’s Raila Odinga, Hugo Chavez, etc... may all be different but the mechanisms of creating a lawless thugocracy are pretty much the same wherever you go and whatever ideology seeks totalitarianism.
That’s why the Founding Fathers recognized that the most important part of maintaining a free country are the mechanisms of accountability. Those are the mechanisms that are ALWAYS systematically destroyed when a tryrant takes over a free people. Again, the ideology of the tyrant is irrelevant. If you have a free country where there is accountability you can go back and forth between ideologies without drastically damaging the fabric of the country, because you’ve always got the accountability to be able to swing the other direction.
Tyranny is a whole different ballgame, and that’s what we’ve got here and now. It is an attack on the systems of accountability - both PR-wise (media) and legal mechanisms (law enforcement, courts, separation of powers, checks and balances, etc). The PR/media game for a tyranny is to make the “politics” of the day appear to be the routine back-and-forth between ideologies when in fact the machanisms of tyranny are being installed.
To keep the people entertained by debating “policy issues” with Sandra Fluke while the tyranny is busy threatening Fox News into ignoring news about Obama being a usurper guilty of forgery and fraud whose AG is committing acts of war against Mexico and arming the Hezbollah-allied drug cartels and keeping the doors wide open for them to enter our country... And while Obama is telling the Supreme Court that they were never meant to be a “check and balance” to Congress and POTUS, Etc.
People can see that Obama is trying to undo the checks and balances through “policies” - unaccountable czars ignoring Congress and the laws, DOJ choosing which US laws to defend in court, GM takeover, money laundering through loans to failing “green energy” companies, reducing our military to nothing, forcing Catholics to perform abortions, POTUS being able to order assassinations of US citizens, etc. But if they realized that the Soros machine is also threatening to kill and killing people, committing crimes such as forgery, perjury, fraud, social security fraud, identity theft, etc... in order to take over the mechanisms of accountability, they would be able to see this as a deliberate, systematic attack to destroy the country’s freedoms and fabric - just like those done by other tyrannies.
And if we let him get away with it, then we will see the same results as they saw in Hitler’s Germany, in the USSR, etc.
We can talk about Sandra Fluke, or we can talk about the tyrannical mechanisms that allowed a good people to tolerate the Holocaust. I guarantee that Obama would rather have us talking about Sandra Fluke. That’s why Soros allows Fox News to talk about that but NOT talk about the crimes committed by Obama/Soros. One is a distraction; the other is the jugular.
At this point only He can save this country.
It’s all part and parcel of the same thing. The real issue isn’t any particular thing that the media isn’t reporting. The real issue is that the Soros machine is telling CONSERVATIVE media what they can and can’t report on. The first issue was the eligibility issue. First they quieted it and then they ridiculed it to the point that they believed the country was inoculated against ever doing anything about that issue. But the threats didn’t stop there. Glenn Beck left Fox because there were threats because he was reporting the connections between Soros, Obama, the czars, and both the communists and Islamists. He could buy bodyguards for himself and his family but he could not protect the staffers and Fox refused to protect the staffers.
Anybody who poo-poohs the eligibility issue and ignores the threats used to keep that issue quiet is short-sighted, refusing to see that if the media can be held hostage on one issue it can be held hostage on anything. And that’s where we’re at right now.
That’s why I’ve said all along that the eligibility issue isn’t about Obama at all. It’s about the rule of law. Because the only way Obama can even sit in the White House is because of the crimes committed by himself, other operatives, and government bureaucrats. And if we let them get away with that just because we’re afraid people will call us “birthers” then there is nothing they can’t do.

When will someone from Hillary’s camp do something? Are they not in a good position to do that? Is the O machine so powerful that even the Klintoons and their followers silenced? (The way they were shut down in the primary).
Many Jews are secular, some Messianic, some orthodox, ,,, while they hold on they endure daily rockets attacks, hatred from the Islamic neighbors, etc. A hard place to be. God have mercy on all that are seeking to know thee and be pleasing before thee, in Jesus name, amen.
That’s my thought for some time now.
I once heard a former Rabbi say that the two countries that God was personally involved in creating were Israel, (because the Messiah was to be born of her), and America, because through her, the gospel would be preached to the ends of the earth. That statement impressed me deeply, and has stayed with me. We will be, have been and are tested, but God will not forsake us.
There are two ways to try crimes: in the legal courts and in the court of public opinion.
Obama and his thugs control both courts. Eric Holder is keeping any federal investigation from ever happening. And Soros threats are keeping even conservative media from reporting the truth about any of Obama’s crimes.
What we have left to try these crimes in the legal courts is at state and local levels. So only the violation of local or state laws can be investigated. The crimes committed by the Soros machine are primarily federal crimes. The only way to get an independent federal investigation is through Congress - and they need the favor of the media, which is held hostage by Soros.
What we have left to try these crimes in the court of public opinion are the independent media sources such as blogs and online media. The establishment “conservative” media is hostile to the truth and vigorously publishing disinformation.
This is truly a David v Goliath scenario. Each one of us is David. As somebody else said and I agreed, only the Lord can save us at this point. Unless He intervenes in a powerful way Soros has us in a chokehold that will kill this nation.
We need to keep telling the truth to as many people as we can. And we need to keep praying hard.

Mr. Kuligowski’s article is very good. I am pleasantly surprised to see so many articles questioning Obama’s birth certificate and eligibility being published in American Thinker.
Focus on the man’s policies and the resulting destruction and let history deal with the rest.
I disagree. The man seem vehemently afraid of this issue, and therefore I conclude it is a weak spot for him. It is my own personal opinion that having people question his legitimacy cannot hurt our side in any manner. It can only hurt his.

I do pray often for this country as I am frustrated beyond understanding by these recent trends. I thank you for your focus and one-mindedness to expose this administration for what it truly represents. I’ve been consumed over the past 6 months on the topic of Obama’s inelgibility and the cover-up of this fact. Though I had been monitoring the question since mid 2008, I had not fully understood the magnitude of the deception and thuggery until recently.
At times I’ve seen what appears to be a breakthrough or a crack in the wall of Obama’s deception, but at every turn they have had an answer. I am encouraged that Sheriff Joe appears to have “pit bull” tenacity in exposing the Obama lies but until we get action by Congress, it seems to be pointless.
I continue to bring up the legitimate questions about Obama to friends, family, and social networks but somehow people don’t want to hear. In simple terms, I am frustrated. But I will never give up nor give in. That is the message I hope the Fogbower lurkers understand when they read these threads. We will NEVER be silenced as long as there is still the freedom to speak out. And thankfully, truth is on our side!
