Quite possibly, but the more I think about it, the more I keep remembering the expression “Après moi le déluge”.

Obama knows he can't "survive" a fall from power. Whatever he has been hiding successfully since his nomination is bound to escape if the Republicans take office. It's not just a matter of being shuffled off to write (Ha!) his memoirs or a third "autobiography". The best he can look forward to is life in exile.

That being the case, I think he considers it a matter of "if they take me down, I'll take the entire country down with me". That's the subcontext these riots are meant to impress upon his foes. He wants everyone to know he can indeed launch a race war if he wants to -- and the media will cheer him on.

DAMN Ronin! I hadn’t thought about that. I understand the concept of “taking everything down with you” but is there a word in English that describes it? Kamikaze is the closest I can come up with. And that’s Japanese.

He’s set for life whether he wins or loses in November. So I don’t get your point.

Apres moi le deluge translates to: "After me, the flood".

In French it was supposedly spoken by an aristocrat going to the guillotine (Marie Antionette?), meaning I don't CARE what happens after I'm gone. But there must be an equivalent translation of: "F all of you, even after I'm gone I'll still F all of you up!"

Not only that, Ronin, if a GOOD Republican worth his salt and not a mealy mouth RINO takes over the White House, many positions with national security clearances will ultimately be reviewed, and HORROR STORIES regarding hiring and appointments in the last four Obama Years will emerge, some of them most likely rising to the point of internal security violations of the law by this Administration (putting known terrorist or terrorist symps or security risks in sensitive USG positions). And so, this is really “Katy bar the door” because a defeat of Obama necessarily means to him, at least one or two years down the line, certain arrest by Federal Authorities, or an escape to a life in exile, once everything is unraveled and brought out into the sunlight of scrutiny. Hence, they play for KEEPS this election cycle. Not pretty, but, there you have it. A Carter or a Clinton or a Bush could go into simple retirement or the rubber chicken circuit both in the US and more lucratively abroad. Not this buzzard Obama. No way. Lotta’ baggage there, lotta’ nasty stuff to come out if he loses the White House. Shame on the American People for electing him in their foolishness and blindness (but also shame on the GOP for putting up McLame)......

“He wants everyone to know he can indeed launch a race war if he wants to — and the media will cheer him on. “

And this is why the Republicans should write the “Fairness Doctrine.” Something as simple as every news story needs a “This is an editorial from the perpective of the “fill in the blank” would drive the libs mad. And there is nothing they could do about it since voting against it exposes them.

If they lie, big fines with the threat of being closed. Rush would happily admit he is a conservative. Matthews would crap his pants.

I would also force media to state if the columnist, reporter had any ties to political figures. “Former Clinton appointee Stephanopoulus” said... That carries a lot of weight.
