The Antelope Valley used to be the bible belt of California and was a great family place to live. Not anymore.

Lancaster/Palmdale are both on the fringes of LA County. The taxes they pay go to projects in LA and the closer cities; it's been a beef with the Antelope Valley for years. When Lancaster voted red a couple of election cycles ago, and raised a stink (again) about how monies weren't being spent for people in the Antelope Valley, they were awarded with....a new prison!! And all the fun that goes along with having one in your city!!
