Marchers were moving through the streets of downtown Los Angeles on Monday evening to protest the shooting of black Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.
The Los Angeles Police Department warned that some streets between Pershing Square and downtown L.A. could be closed during the march, which runs from 5th and Hill streets to Spring and 1st streets. The march was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
The march was organized by ANSWER Los Angeles Coalition. It was one of several in Los Angeles and other cities in recent weeks.
"We must keep up the pressure in the streets to win justice," the organization said in a statement. "We will also demand justice for all victims of racist violence."

Seriously?
Even if those victims of racist violence are white?
(’cause most of the victims ARE white, you know.)
All these “Travon” protests are a preview of what’s in store for us from the Dems heading up to the election in Nov. They will harness this misplaced uninformed anger to drive the masses to the polls and vote for their savior.
How do we fight this? What has become of our nation?
Awwwwwwwwww how cute, these protestors took time off from sitting at home waiting for their welfare checks to arrive to do some protesting..Obama voters in action
Did they get lost, take a wrong turn, .....? Loser Angeles is a long way from Florida! But with a public education now a days, it’s not hard to believe.
How many black youf will be shot by other black youf at the rally. They can’t even get together for a bar b q without someone getting killed. Usually because someone is disrespected.
Simple. They will ignore the facts.
When you are scamming up racial hatred, you don' need no steenkin' fax.
I guess when you don’t have a job and are on food stamps, diddly bopping along in a “protest” march is about all there is left.
If they choose not to prosecute, does that mean that LA will finally burn to the ground???
One can hope, and one can hope that the flames burn all the way to San Francisco
