This Level Headed FReeper is *NOT* voting for Romney (VANITY)

Posted on 04/10/2012 6:20:28 PM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

With all of the chicanery that the GOP-E has done over the last year, and helped the media to do over the last year, there's NO WAY I'm surrendering to these creeps.

Romney is *NOT* our candidate! He's their candidate, we're NOT REPUBLICANS! We are conservatives and constitutionalists FIRST. We believe in small government! Not this big government crap that Romney has peddled for the better half of the last decade or two, and I certainly can't do any more nose holding at the ballot box.

Voting for a big government republican is the real world equivalent of cutting off my nose to spite my face. That I refuse to do.

Reforming the GOP into a small government conservative party doesn't just mean voting for the right tea partiers at the right time. It means refusing to vote for the wrong big government republicans at the wrong time. We need to starve the beast of votes. We need to teach the republican party that if they have any shot at electoral success in the future, they only have one viable path. Bold colors BOLD COLORS BOLD COLORS

That Party ended in '08 when they blamed Governor Palin for moderate McCain's loss....

She must have done something right, cause I'm STILL going to vote for her.

Romney is a slime bucket. Remember this. We all on this site know how hell in a hand-basket things are going in this country. The general population does not. However, if by some miracle Romney does win the election, you can rest assured that all the stuff that the media does not report today will suddenly become very common knowledge on Jan 21. All of the building crises brewing today will suddenly be reported on and will instantaneously be Romney’s fault, as everything right before January according the the MSM will have been awesome, but as soon as Romney got in he proceeded to F’ up everything. Furthermore, we cannot trust Romney to begin to fix anything, he will just double down on the same crap Obummer was doing, though he will make no friends doing it in the media. Whatever Romney does, even if Obama would have had parades in the street for doing, Romney will be villified.

The republican party will cease to exist. That is a good thing as it needs to be rebuilt. However, it will guarantee a generation of liberal socialist rule, from which there will be no reclaiming the country without a brutal civil war, which our wonderful friends in the middle east will no doubt take advantage of.

I hate to say it, but I am truly beginning to believe that this country has a better chance of surviving 4 more years of Obama, during which the current brewing crises will finally burst to the surface, than we will have of surviving a Romney presidency. 4 years of Obama will sour the country on the loser in chief with some severe collateral damage, but in the end may bring about a new Reagan revolution. 4 years of Romney will ensure the death of america.

If Romney wins, we could face 8 years of continued BS.....I look at as “If Romney wins, we can kick his libtard as out in four years.” But that’s just me.

What if the poster is spot on and you are choosing to miss the point of the fantastical story? What if the point is worthy of being made and the poster is not deluded?

What does that do to your neat dissection that followed?

Nothing at all, because the point of the fantastical story is one of delusion. Mitt is a BAD choice and offers poor prospects. Obama has been one of the worst presidents and is much more likely than Mitt to continue and exacerbate the current situation. Withholding a vote from Mitt is giving a vote to Obama. Pretending that that outcome is none of one's responsibility and withholding a vote from Mitt is an exercise in godly morality is delusion. It's also a pretty good example of moral masturbation.

“This Level Headed FReeper is *NOT* voting for Romney “...

Here we go once again. Both “parties” choose a looser and we have to pick between one of them. End result is we loose no matter which way we vote. Guess there is not justice. We are soooooooooooooooooooo screwed.

“Withholding a vote from Mitt is giving a vote to Obama.”

No.

Fantastical as is sounds, voting for Obama would be giving a vote to Obama. That is actually a very different thing than not voting for Romney.

Withholding a formerly solid Republican vote from Romney means the Republican base is depleted by that one vote, and Romney would be down by ONE.

Actually giving a formerly solid Republican vote to Obama means that Romney not only loses one vote but (it gets complicated here) Obama actually GAINS one vote, thus Romney would actually be down by TWO. He will have lost the vote that any other Republican could have relied on, but also Obama would have PICKED ONE UP.

I know word problems are really hard, but I tried to keep it simple for you.

” Palin may say it, but no way does she believe it.

A vote for Obama is a vote for leftwing government.

A vote for Romney is a vote for leftwing government.”

Here’s how I see it. First, I do think that Sarah believes everything she says. Second, Imagine if Romney had run and defeated Obama back in 08. I believe that we’d have been much better off today. We would not have an arrogant Marxist president teetering us on the edge of civil war.

Republicans/Conservatives go through your type of argument every voting cycle, and oftentimes, we end up with a democrat getting voted into office, and then, those conservatives and republicans come back with their tired comments of regret that, we ended up again with another liberal destroying the economy and destroying our liberties and rights, and destroying the country.

You are correct that the GOP is giving us someone who belongs on the democratic party more than with republicans. But, Romney is at least much better for economic policy than the Marxist in power right now. So, I’m not voting for Romney to lead us on the many issues that matter; I’m voting for him on one issue, that being the economy. He’s a lot better for the free-market than any socialist/marxist, any time. On the other issues, we can hope to control his agenda by electing/re-electing more conservatives. Romney won’t be able to impose his liberal-like agenda when he’s got to contend with a republican congress which is up for re-election every 2 years. If we can limit Romney’s power, then we will be a lot better off than with any democrat.

I agree with you on Newt

Santorum shold toss his support to him now, and maybe he can be VP

I did not get a clear reason why Santorum dropped out (unless he just thought he was going to lose PA)

Newt is the only answer to those who continue to push Romney on these threads.....we STILL have a Conservative choice...what iin the world are they pushing Romney for since Santorum’s out now? People are nuts!

If they are voting Romney when they have the option of voting for NEWT, who has done more for Conservatives, with a record to prove it...then they simply cannot be the conservatives they claim...and they are being “bought” the bill of goods the media and others supporting Romney continue to dish out.....it’s really that simple now.

A vote for Newt now is a ‘win win’ for us...he’ll take out Romney and Obama just as we’ve been saying....A Vote for Romney remains a vote for Obama..just as also was said from the beginning.

Go Newt Go!!!!

I see no reason to vote for the GOP’s grinning idiot.

I DO see every reason in the world to aggressively vote ABOOR -- to vote against Obama AND Romney, to figuratively crawl over broken glass to register my vote so that whichever bastard wins, only gets in by the slimmest plurality and THEREFORE enters office as weak politically as possible, with opposition as motivated and powerful as possible -- good whether it's Obama or Romney.

The best case scenario: for enough of the votes cast to be AGAINST Obama and AGAINST Romney to give Obama a win of a 34 percent plurality, meaning the clear facts of the case will be that 66 percent of the voters OPPOSED HIM. This would fatally damage Obama's political viability and make him even weaker than he is now, AND it would BREAK the fatal hold liberal statists have on the Republican party.

There are five major liberal issues: global warming, nationalized health care, on-demand tax-funded abortion, the homosexual agenda, and activist judges. It is DOCUMENTED and crystal clear that Romney's position on all those issues is the same as the Democrat party's. Voting for Romney is as nuts as voting for Obama.

Voting third party for the express purpose of making sure whichever socialist wins, gets in as politically weak as possible because of an anemic plurality, is SANE and presents the ONLY chance we have of righting the ship.

I’m no fan of Romney either - but it won’t really matter WHAT values we hold dear if Obama gets back in because there won’t be a free country in which to hold ANY values which are not those of that nightmare in the White House ....

EEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeEEEEE!!!! The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Obama is unstoppable, unbeatable, omnipotent!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!

FRiend, your conclusions are mere guesses, and they are spawned by fear and panic. On the other hand, informed, plain common sense sees the obvious: if Romney gets in, liberalism would FOR CERTAIN SURE be made more powerful in both parties and the Washington Establishment would interpret it as the majority of Repblican voters giving the GOP their okay to adopt liberal stances on all five major issues: nationalized health care, global warming, the homosexual agenda, abortion on demand, and activist judges.

Vote for liberalism, reap liberalism. Vote AGAINST it, and we might have a fighting chance. I'm voting ABOOR so that whichever bad guy gets in, Romney or Obama, gets in by such a low plurality that his political credibility and viability will be as WEAK AS POSSIBLE and his opposition as motivated and strengthened as possible.

Stop rolling over and START CALCULATING HOW TO FIGHT BACK.

Romney is being supported big time by the Globalists....you really have to use a great deal of imagination to believe he will be loyal to this country when his sights and those of the leadership within his corporation 'church' to take us into the Globalist push.....and they are positioned Internationally to do just that.

....Which means Cap'n Trade.....Green energy and has no plans to take out the EPA.....plus all the other Globalist agenda ....and it all opposes the sovereignty of our country economically..... So NO to Romney....
