FOX News host Sean Hannity confirmed on his show Tuesday night he had an off-the-record chat with someone he believed was George Zimmerman.
The neighborhood watchman's former legal team announced they would no longer represent him because the 28-year-old had ignored their calls and said he had reached out to Hannity and special prosecutor Angela Corey on his own.
On his show, Hannity said he wanted to "set the record straight."
"For a few weeks we have been pursuing an interview with Mr. Zimmerman to give him a chance to tell his side of the story," the host said. “Now yesterday I was contacted by an individual that we in fact believe was George Zimmerman.”
"We spoke on the phone about his case, and I agreed not to report on the contents of that conversation. That's it."

Were you as disturbed as I was over the prosecutor's behavior in her presser yesterday? It sure wasn't very professional. First she gushed over Martin's parents, and then was absolutely giddy... totally inappropriate behavior. Unless there are some damning facts yet to come out, a second degree murder conviction seems beyond the pale. Doesn't she know that the prosecution very rarely wins these high profile cases, and then to overcharge Zimmerman seems just stupid to me. I think she's in for a very rude awakening.. Maybe she should talk to Marcia Clark, the prosecutor from the OJ trial.

No matter how things turn out, I think there are going to be riots all over the country.
My take on it is that both of them acted rather stupidly. Zimmerman had no way to know if Trayvon was armed, and when they came face to face, male testosterone took over. I do believe (based on Trayvon’s girlfriend's statement) that Trayvon started the verbal altercation and that Trayvon threw the first punch, which, considering the beating that Z was taking, he was fully justified in shooting T. But that's just conjecture. I wasn't that impressed with Z’s attorney when I saw him on the tube, but apparently, he came highly recommended.
