WASHINGTON (AP) — The parents of Trayvon Martin say charges against George Zimmerman in the fatal shooting their son would start the healing process, but they won't stop fighting until he's convicted.

Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, tells The Associated Press that right now she and Martin's father "can't get past our son being murdered and no one being arrested."

From what I read, there had been 8 or 9 burglaries/break-ins in the apartment complex area in the past several months. So it is not out of the question that he would be concerned about someone “acting suspiciously”, in whatever connotation that has. It sounds like George was interested in keeping their neighborhood/complex area safe and in having a presence (along with others?) to discourage criminals from lurking there.

Second, you can rest assured that the Jury (if it even comes to a Trial, which, based on the EVIDENCE, may be a token move to calm down the parasites and Black Panthers) will be an OJ Jury, voting "Guilty" because the blackness of the victim is all that matters to them.

In a GATED COMMUNITY, a Neighborhood Watch person observes a black youth, face hidden in a hoodie, wandering through and follows him to see that he's not up to "no good".

Then, the black Yewt decides to confront the white person following him, and proceeds to use his superior size to beat him to a pulp.

After bashing the white Watch person's head on the ground, and breaking his nose, too, the white person fears for his life (not un-expectedly) and pulls out his LEGAL gun and defends himself.

Now, what part of "Neighborhood Watch" are you having trouble with?

I know of an incident where a black teenager was “acting suspiciously” in a neighborhood and nobody confronted him. He raped a 70 year old woman then walked on down the street. He was eventually arrested and brought to trial. Ended up the woman he raped had been his school teacher so she knew him. A black jury acquitted him.

Two BLACK guys attempted to break into my neighbor’s house last week. The woman was home alone. Nobody noticed these thugs “acting suspiciously” but she did have an alarm so they jumped in their car and sped away after she hit the panic button causing the alarm to go off.

I hope when someone is about to pull a home invasion on your house someone notices the thugs “acting suspiciously” and calls 911. And after he calls 911 I hope he hangs around until the cops get there, just in case you need help. And if the cops ask him for the address I hope he gets out of his truck and walks down to the end of the street to get a street number so the cops can get to your house in time. And if the thugs confront him I hope he blows their asses to hell.

And I hope he’s not charged with a crime.

I weigh 116 pounds. How much abuse must I endure before I utilize the hardware at hand to mitigate an attack which puts me in fear of my life? This is the central question.

Trayvon was much larger than Zimmerman. Having one’s head hammered against concrete can only end in an unsatisfactory way - for Zimmerman. The proper action was available, and utilized. End of story...

This is Zimmerman's version of events. There is NO corroborating EVIDENCE that supports this version of events.

Tell us all where was the evidence of this Martin individual being up to no good? How did Zimmerman make his determination? Surely he had some evidence of a crime in progress to make his determination of this individual being up to "no good"

But alas there is none. Zimmerman has NEVER said anything about what caused him to make his determination. The facts are he had none. And neither do you. Every line you wrote after your first paragraph is nonsense because neither you nor Zimmerman can explain why the need to pursue Martin was necessary. Return to the drawing board and see if you can do better next time

So now we want to play who has experienced the greater crime? Zimmerman was not aware of what crime you had experienced in your neighborhood and therefore could not act under what you saw. The sad events you witnessed have no bearing on this case Unless you are trying to say something else

I didn't say Zimmerman had "evidence" of him being up to "no good"; Neighborhood Watch (read the words carefully) is just THAT: WATCH for suspicious activity, such as unknown persons in a place they do not belong.

You have no common sense at all.

Whenever I (or any of my neighbors) see people in the neighborhood who DON'T BELONG HERE, we watch them, too, and make sure they are not up to "no good". Being alert to your surroundings is a good thing, as opposed to those who are too dumb to be observant, and those who have SOME REASON to be pissed because someone is watching them.

Get over it.....white guilt got us to this point, and it will continue to erode the common sense of society.
