Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

Good for you for not sitting it out altogether. While we will probably be stuck with Obozo for another four years, its imperative that Republicans maintain control of some of Congress just to obstruct him.

Lots of Republicans you voted for have done nothing to stop abortion except spout words against it to make you vote for them. We’re all on the hook partially for that anyway. Don’t kid yourself.

You’re making this more difficult than it has to be. The states below that I listed that don’t favor Romney have 55% of the delegates, which is exactly the amount Romney needs to lose to be denied the nomination outright. Now all these states have various WTA or proportional rules that affect the allocation. But all in all we can see this is a close enough call that Newt could pull it off if Romney just underperforms a little based on his past performance.

More Conservative?: (578 delegates)
Missouri
Pennsylvania
North Carolina
Indiana
West Virginia
Nebraska
Kentucky
Arkansas
Texas
South Dakota
New Mexico

More Liberal?: (381 delegates)
California
New Jersey
New York
Rhode Island
Delaware
Connecticut

Top 10 Mormon %: (94 delegates)
Utah
Oregon
Montana

rhetorical question. why do people think that voting for a pro-abortion, anti-gun rino will be better than the pro-abortion anti-gun Marxist? Oh, I know, somehow our weak sister faint-if-they-say-boo gop-e geldings will suddenly stand up and stop the marxist !! ooops- should have issued a HURL ALERT !!!!

We get to write in Prez and V.P. I would assume. So maybe Palin/Newt, the way this primary should have worked out in the first place.

The Tea Party made great inroads in 2010, the key is to get more of them elected in the Congress and the Senate in 2012.
If Romney gets in, at least enough conservative congress members will push him to the right (Obama cannot be moved to the right) and who said there can’t be Tea Party rallies in DC if Romney is in the White House.

I will keep donating to Newt and pray for a miracle, but if it is Romney vs. Obama - then it’s Romney. I never want to explain to children and eventual grandchildren that I stood by and let that POS Obama appoint 2 or 3 more Supreme Court judges.

I'm having a hard time with this issue myself. I can't understand why we would want to throw the election to Obama (IF, a BIG IF, Romney secures the nomination).

However, I have an idea where this is going and I think it makes sense. The GOP has become Democrat-light. Perhaps the party has to crash and burn completely so that a new party can arise from the ashes.

Perhaps a sacrifice of 4 more years of Obama is worth it. It will be hell, but maybe it will be what it takes to finally wake people up.

Nothing else seems to be getting through to the GOP leadership or the average voter.

Which is why we should get serious about backing anti-abortion and pro-marriage federal constitutional amendments instead of chasing down these wishy-washy candidates, who end up caving into the party machine half the time anyway.

I agree !!! And if it were a bill Clinton, Kerry, John Edwards, Andrew Cuomo, even hillary, I would not vote for Romney under those circumstances.

I just believe that Obama represents such a lethal and game ending possibility, that I have to consider things I never imagined to get him out of office.

I am long over my principals at this point in terms of what I would do to oust the communist traitor and Marxist tyrant Obama.

If a third party candidate emerges, I’ll vote for them. I’ll send them money. I’ll campaign for them and AGAINST Romney. I won’t just stay home, I’ll do everything I can to DEFEAT Romney. Not only will Romney have to run against Obama, he’ll have to run against Conservatives.

NO RINOs

NO ROMNEY

An abortionist/socialist president Romney will set back the conservative movement a generation or more

You know your stuff, so I'm asking sincerely - Are we truly better off with Obama, then?

I'm inclined to go ahead and vote for Romney becuase, if he wins, the nominees he would name for the Supreme Court would be far, far better than the Communists Obama would name. Losing the Court means the end of the Republic, period.

Maybe I'm wrong.

According to whiterhino ( a fitting name)... Anyone who doesn’t support the baby killing, global warming pushing, socialist POS Romney, is automatically an Obama supporter.

If you have the ability to cancel out a Democrat's general election vote in favor of 0bama by voting for the GOP nominee and you choose not to, in what way are you not helping 0bama? I'm dead serious in not understanding how that is that not effectively supporting 0bama. Can you explain it without resorting to ad hominem and calling for JR to show me the door? I just don't get it.

I believe the only way to avoid this is to have all the state primaries at the same time. Or within a very short time frame of a week or two. Let them campaign all together for a longer time, then have a nationwide vote.

This dribbling and drabbling and gradual dropoffs of good folks, are the thing that gives us the worst candidates at the end.

But I am asking what specifically can we do either at the convention, or after that, that can actually get a conservative candidate into the White House?

That’s cool with me. The whole point is, win or lose, to make it known that we voted for them BECAUSE the GOP ignored us. We put the onus on them. No sweat of our back either way since we will not vote for Mitt.

Hurts then bad. Makes us heard. Win/Win.

To Romney/Obama? There isen’t one. the track is out at the canyon bridge. There is no time to stop the train traveling at 100 MPH, Obama is running the train at 100 MPH. Romney wants to run it at 70 MPH. The end result is the train ends up in the canyon and our country is dead. With these to it’s just how fast we get to the canyon.

oh please, spare us the poor dramatics
