Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

You tried. but ‘running to the right’ does not a conservative make. And to vote for him, one has, by definition to accept his stance on gay rights et all, which are the opposite of conservative.

A conservative, by definition cannot do so.

Folks, it’s like DU around here.
Here's a solution...If you're so disillusioned then LEAVE! Problem solved.
This isn't the Romper Room, is it?

So then you’ll just keep ignoring his expressed wishes, click your heels and play the good man/fellow vet card as a totem to ward lightning.

That’s disgusting.

I agree with you Artcore, and I love FR but if I'm banned I'm banned.

Sometimes it's harder to say how you really feel to your FRiends then to your enemies.

OK, we have Obama and Romney...
So you've already determined for all of America who the Republican nominee will be?
Everything after that is BS in your hand that you're trying to pass off as flowers.

I don't think that's true. I have yet to vote for a candidate who I agreed with on everything. And I don't think any elected politician believes everyone who votes for him agrees with him on all issues. Particularly if the voters and other elected official strongly oppose him where they disagree.

I'm still in this fight for Newt. But in any case, I'm supporting tea party conservatives at all levels. The executive is one branch, powerful for sure, but we have other arrows in the quiver no matter who is president.

““It really is sad. Truth is, we’re all on the same team here, but this issue (which is a big one!) could fracture us badly.”

Anyone willing to vote for a lib/gay ‘rights’ abortion supporter isn’t on my team. And I play for the Conservatives. Do the math.”

Artcore... You said “we’re all on the same team here” but unfortunately, Power-guy Norm says you can’t be on HIS team. I’m sure that breaks your heart. Hahaha! What a hoot!

It takes a lot of hope to maybe think Romney could do that. Maybe he will and maybe he won’t. At what point do we decide that “being realistic” and voting for a fake conservative is just another step down the path to serfdom?

When do we accept the truth and quit hoping? Will it be too late by then?

“It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren, till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst and provide for it.” Patrick Henry

“As soon as you answer my question, I’ll be happy to address yours. Again, Go ahead and explain to me how voting for Mitt is acceptable without abandoning everything you claim to believe in as a conservative.”

Well, I guess we're at a quandary here aren't we? Sorry, but I explained my position, and also used the same tactic you've used on others tonight.

You've labled those of us who've decided to vote for Romney (our current reality) as “Romneybots”, “RINOs”, “Dumb” etc. You've self-rightously said that we're giving up our conservative values because Romney is a RINO. I've clearly and concisely explained numerous times this evening that we're faced with a monumentally difficult decision here. For many of us, while he's not the ideal choice, Romney is a far better choice than the Marxist currently holding our nation hostage.

If you can so easily label those of us who will be voting for Romney with your pejoratives, we can do the same to you. Again, your decision to act like spoiled, selfish, crybaby and not vote on election night, will effectively aid the Marxist in winning a second term, and sure destruction of our nation. In my estimation, this most certainly shows that you, and others opting not to vote for Romney (our reality), have given up your conservative values and ideals. To knowingly hand a Marxist an election is unconscionable! So, how do you like having others assign motives to you that aren't necessarily true, and call into question your motives and values?

You’d like that, wouldn’t you?
If it would relieve me of seeing your whiny, cry baby posting...yes.

No one left to point out reality.
Well I haven't seen yet that you're based in reality to begin with so...no great loss.

I worked as Florida consultant with the Gingrich campaign. I’m going to vote for Romney assuming he’s the candidate and I’ll press people to support him instead of helping Obama get elected to a second term.

If I’m zotted for that, so be it. It would be a bigger loss to FR to not have my 21 years of PROFESSIONAL political insight than it would for me not to have a place where I’m afraid to post my point of view.

It’s true when you consider that the number of liberal positions MR has are numerous, yet the conservative positions are non existent. Also consider the types of his positions. Abortion, gay rights, gay/military, global warming...all of which are individually anathema to the conservative philosophy. And this isn’t a ‘one’ thing with him. It’s everything he stands for/supports. It’s who he is.

To vote MR, one ‘has’ to accept his positions. If you deny them, then you are casting a vote contrary to what you believe in.

Am I wrong? How so?

Well, if this is an example of your professional experience, who needs it. FR is a conservative site not a RINO GOP-e site. You fail.

You guys never learn..."Argumentum ad populum" (appeal to majority)...again!

And there is not a dime's difference between the two and you can't show otherwise...which is what the rest of us know.

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. Samuel Adams

Santorum dropped out, and Newt seems to be indicating that he would support Romney. I was working under this assumption, but I would love to see Newt surge and surpass Mittens.

My voting for Romney is a worse case scenario.

Go Newt!
