Notice: Free Republic has been in full rebellion mode since 2008 and will remain in full rebellion mode for the duration!

No more Doles!! No more McCains!! No more RINOS!!

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

FR is and will remain a pro-life, pro-limited government conservative site!!

We are beholden to NO ONE!! We bow to no kings!! We bow to NO RINOS!!

I'd rather fight and die like a man than bend over and be screwed by a RINO!! I refuse to kiss Karl Rove or Mitt Romney's rings!! They can kiss my rosy red ass instead!!

FUMR!! FUGOP!!

Long live the rebellion!!

Hope my message is clear.

I cannot vote for someone who has shown NO CONVICTIONS whatsoever any more than I can vote for a true blue leftist.

Romney still supports RomneyCare and its free/$50 abortions. Romney donated to PP. He told them he was their guy. I never saw any conversion, there has not been one.

Go snap your towel elsewhere before you throw it in entirely, but don’t lecture me on any flaws of Newt’s when he is the only one left willing to stare down Romney and take all the heat coming for doing so.

That was so good it was worth repeating!

That's not true.

It may become true if Romney wins the nomination, but McCain had huge problems winning the evangelical vote until he nominated Sarah Palin.

There are reasons he did that.

I can't imagine what Romney, who is a much worse candidate than McCain, will do to get enthusiastic support from evangelicals.

Demographics don't lie. Evangelicals have horrible turnout percentages unless they're highly motivated to vote for a candidate, and in the South, many are former (or even current) Democrats who routinely vote for local conservative Democrats for local and state office. Rich guy Romney hits all the wrong buttons -- Yankee, filthy rich, Ivy League, member of a cult -- to antagonize blue collar and rural Southern evangelicals. I can't see Obama winning lots of rural Southern whites, but I can see rural Southern whites saying there's no point in voting because both candidates are bad.

True, I wouldn't be surprised to see a number of prominent evangelical leaders say that Obama is so bad that we need to vote “anybody but Obama.” But that's not happening yet, it may not happen in large numbers before the nomination, and even if it does, lots of evangelicals are going to sit out the election entirely.

As for me, I'll be voting in November. What I do with the top of the ticket is an open question and I don't yet know the answer myself.

Do you really believe he’s going to circumvent Congress, appoint radical czars, try to influence the Supreme Court, make back room deals with the Russians and allow the Gay rainbow flag to rise in a war zone? Really?

That is the Job for the Antichrist...

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

You just can’t save yourself, there are many things you can do, many things you can try - but there is good reason to fear the big bad wolf - because its not one thing.

These days there are many people who do not fear the devil. Many do not even believe he is real. But he is real, and we are told that he is a prowling lion looking for someone to destroy. The devil is real, and his is not our only enemy, the world and the flesh are also out to seduce us, and to destroy us.

“I think the battle is lost. That’s what I think. The liberals are united, the Republicans are divided, I think we get 4 more years of o bama, a stacked far left Supreme Court, he ditches Biden in 2014-16 and selects a new VP who will win in 2016, and pick more far left Supreme Court justices and we have now seen the demise of the Republic.”

I “think” you are letting your fears cloud your better judgement. IF you are conservative, and still willing to always have to sit in the back of the GOP bus....then give into your fears and support Romney. The rest of us are showing courage a principle......and it is about time we did.

I want a third party. A conservative party. I want conservative congressmen and candidates to quit the R and D parties and join this third, conservative party. I want it now.

The problem you've got is that there aren't enough Americans who satisfy your definition of conservative to support such a party.

The painful reality is that the "GOP Elite" didn't cast all those votes for Romney. Lots of regular Republicans did. If a conservative majority truly existed, Obama wouldn't be the President, and Romney wouldn't be the nominee.

Personally, I think our best chance of success is to keep fighting within the party rather than marginalizing ourselves by moving out. But that's a choice we'll all have to make as individuals.

Is the only real difference between America today and former Soviet Union, the softness of the whip?

There may be a few more differences ... but after 4 more years of Obama, I doubt there will be. We will be driving our government-made cars to the bread line, if we are fortunate enough to afford the gas.

As disgusting as the prospect is, if Romney is the only other choice to Obama, then I would have to vote for him. Not a great situation. We are truly in trouble as a nation either way.

I am so happy to see your message. When I first posted my tag line it was done out of sheer frustration at the too many FRinos who were telling me that I had to vote for Romney (but, of course, they’d never commit to a conservative).

At this point I’d be happy to see the GOP burn down to the ground (rhetorically) so it would get out of the way for real conservatives and real Americans.

God Bless you and Keep you!

Love,
Megan

That has to be one of the most intelligent posts I've read on the subject.

This country will be fine. Obama would be a lame duck if we won. Republicans will likely get the senate and house. They’d be more likely, in fact, to vote for a terrible bill to “go along” with Mitt as POTUS.

It will ALWAYS be about “this democrat is terrible bla bla bla” to get you to vote for a bad RINO Republican. That’s how it works!

I think 4 more years of Obama and company might be what this country needs TO GET MAD AS HELL!

Interesting analysis of the “evangelical” voter, but I was only referring to some postings last night that quoted Gary Bauer, Focus on the Family’s Tony Perkins, the president of the Southern Baptist Convention - some of the religious “leaders” who were previously backing Santorum, who have come out for Romney since Santorums’s dropout.
Haven’t heard anything from Viguerie.

Any of ‘em including Levin could have gone over to Gingrich (or Paul) instead of Romney. But they went to Romney.

Well...when the alternative is Obama.....what should we do? I would vote for a turkey or Howdy Doody in order to get rid of this president.

I hope you realize that your favorite after Perry, Rick Santorum, was routinely and regularly trashed here for the Specter endorsement.

Do me a favor. If you’re going to find that mythical third party hero to vote for, and I’m sure I don’t need to remind you of the Perot vote........please, keep it to yourself. And, by the way, which candidate will get that vote? I just hope he or she is totally and absolutely pure.

I am simply astounded at the number of conservatives willing to openly re-elect Barack Hussein Obama. However, IF Romney were to be elected, what would be the point in complaining and keeping this site open.........So maybe there is a reason.

I can see the game you are playing is “Let’s make groundless assertions and pull unsupported predictions of future events out of my a** and let you refute them with evidence and reality”.

Not wasting any more time on your game.

IF you are conservative, and still willing to always have to sit in the back of the GOP bus.

Conservatives used to be relegated to the back of the bus. This year they threw us under the bus.

I see. So those other good people here who DID vote for McCain were wrong? even those who are claiming they held their nose?

The Supreme Court doesn’t matter, or wait, it does, but no it doesn’t.

Stomp your feet, have your temper tantrum, but for God’s sake, don’t encourage anyone ELSE to not vote or vote for the invisible third party. Foolish beyond belief.
